I finally got into Rattlegore, finally stopped kicking me out of loading screen.

RIP Rattlegore
 they broke it

Can we get some type of ETA on what’s going on? Pretty frustrating to freeze on logging a char in or just once you finally get in your DC’d 2 mins later. I mean this has been going on for way to long now.

Can we get an ETA For RATTLEGORE Please???

I did open my task manager and closed out of all blizzard apps and reloaded, kind of doubt that fixed it but it might help/

So you’re telling me that in the year of 2019 some 12 year old punk kid was able to bypass your entire team of cyber security professionals using a technique that has been around since the creation of the internet and your response has basically been: “Sorry we’re working on it”. #*@!%** Unacceptable. I don’t care what your excuse is. People are paying for this service and it has been impacted due to negligence and the oversight of a detail you had more than enough time to prepare for when creating this product.

Do you not understand how a DDoS attack works? Let me try to explain. Imagine a pipe with water flowing through it. The pipe start getting clogged with all sorts of waste. The clog keeps building up and ultimately the pipes bursts. A DDoS is when a high amount of data causes performance issues for a server which leads to the server crashing. This is done by introducing millions of bots, each with unique IP addresses, start flooding the server with data. Right now Blizzard is in the process of fixing the pipes. Some pipes are already fixed and some are in the process of being fixed.

Your response as an industry leading company that’s been in business for this long and made this much money should be either give refunds or a reasonable amount of compensatory game time. And that’s the very *&^!)#% least acceptable point to start at.

If you want a refund or free game time, talk to the person who is responsible for the DDoS. Blizzard is trying their best to fix things. Please be patient.

I’ll make my case. If Toyota gets bad leaf springs from some no name company in Taiwan and a dozen people die due to the failure of that product because they wanted to cheap out on their quality assurance team (Blizzard Cybersecurity i’m looking at you), Toyota doesn’t just tell people “Sorry, we’re working on it”.

The only case you made is that you don’t know what you’re talking about. This analogy doesn’t work at all. In the scenario you juxtapose, Toyota can be held liable for serious injury or death due to bad leaf springs because regulations are in place that are meant to ensure vehicles are safe to drive. A DDoS attack is a user being malicious and interfering with Blizzard’s operations. A DDoS attack doesn’t compromise the security of private information.

In the business I work in (and probably there are many of you out there working in similar industries) when mistakes like these get made people don’t just lose game time
they lose their lives. It is not an acceptable response at this point in Blizzard’s existence to simply say “Sorry, we’re working on it”. Do better!

This gave me a good laugh. Do us all a big favor and stop being hyperbolic. People are not in the streets dying just because they can’t play a game. Go outside and get some fresh air. It will do you some good.

Cheers.

What servers are up?

The problem is, that in this day and age anything that can be made “Smart”, that have very little security and likely not updated when exploits are found, can be enabled to become part of a botnet.

Rattlegore is still down. Can we at least get confirmation on why or if you’re fixing?
