Your inability to use clean language to voice your frustrations with others is indicative of a poor upbringing and education. I hope in time you can work past those things and do better than cursing at random people on a game forum. RS increased their monthly fee to $11? 
Blizzard advertises and sells a product. That product, despite already being paid for, is not available. Of course people are angry, they aren’t getting the product that they paid for. Blizzard is one of the largest game companies in the world, and they’ve been doing MMO’s for 15 years now. They should be able to handle a ddos by some twitter rando.
You have no idea how DDoS attacks work, this is obvious. Hacking isn’t like you see in Hollywood movies or anime. Attacks like this are damn near impossible to stop, unless you take the server down completely, because of the distributed part of Distributed Denial of Service attack.

they aren’t directly attacking blizzard though, the attack is on the network providers. Before talking how about researching what a DDoS is. All and I do mean all companies, networks, servers, internet providers have no way to stop a DDoS attack and it takes better part of a day or more to filter out what is a fake access and what isn’t because the source of a trojan infecting outside/user computers then the trojan sends data or access requests that look 100% like legitimate user interactions with their systems.

Just reporting that I too can not get into Mankrik (diconnected from Blizzard services with WOW51900101 error).
I am able to connect to Windseeker without any problems.
Here’s hoping that they find a fix within the next hour or so.

****ing LOL. If this were even remotely the case (And it’s not) 99% of the internet would be down every day. Google would be a site that hasn’t been seen online since 2002 and Wikipedia would be a figment of memory. DDoS mitigation services and technology are available everywhere, every major company uses it.
Listen guys, I give you one hour, maybe two… But yall are letting this crap last way too long.
There is no way that a company as big as yours cannot have countermeasures and protections against this sort of attack.

This. You’d think with the 1.6 BILLION dollars they made in 2018, they could have sprung for some extra servers and ddos mitigation.

If you have ideas on how they can mitigate a DDOS attack without also affecting performance for gamers then I’m sure they are all ears. But knowing quite a bit about this type of scenario, I know how impossible that would be.

What DDOS mitigation would effective stop this type of attack but still give peak performance for gamers? I would love to hear about this new product! I’m looking for some DDOS mitigation techniques for my own real job.
dont know if your aware but layering is messed up on herod alot of people cant log in because there layer is down my 2 main characters both arent working i get dced at a blue bar but i can log into my level 1 np
