you should do 6 months and get a mount and save even more
A good example would be EverQuest, every item in that game the player acquired, was a status symbol, was hard to get or required a lot of effort and determination. And when you got said items, you felt stronger and cosmetically powerful. When I’m referring to meaningful progression it isnt towards what they’re currently selling. I still do not understand how people cant see this.
Kind of. So like if you bought the previous 6 month bundle with that mount and still had it set up for another 6 months… You are basically getting 2 free stuff. The mount and this new transmog set. The previous 6 month bundle stuff was within this 6 month time frame.
More effort should be put in to what the player can earn instead of what the player can buy.
I’m talking in the general since before the cash shop becomes littered with cosmetics.
Every item that gives any kind of power to a character is earnable only in game, the store has no stat altering gear.

Most of the expansions I’ve either gotten as gifts for birthdays or via bought through gift cards from birthdays or Christmas.
Plus what is $30 dollars every 2 months . I can spend that in one night having dinner and drinks and not think twice about it .
OP I wouldn’t freak out over this, I usually pay a 6 month sub, it saves money and usually we get a mount.
This transmog set comes with a 6 month sub, but only if you buy this 6 month sub, it’s not for us who already have a 6 month sub … so business as usually here
There is also an option to buy it separate from the 6 month sub for $20.00

Transmog content has been offered before, and it was popular. In fact, a lot of people on the forums over the years have said they’d be perfectly okay with Blizzard adding transmog sets to the store, similar to what games like Guild Wars 2 does.
There is a market for this stuff and Blizzard, as a business, is supplying that market.
If you’re not part of that market, then fine, don’t buy it. End of the day, you’re not missing out on much.

Now THAT is an interesting counter argument. You’re 100% correct that it could have been the Blizzcon reward. I’m glad we can agree that the release time of this cosmetic was really bad though.
Yeah this is kinda how I think of WoW sub prices in general. $78 over the course of 6 months is darn near couch change territory.

Yes there are lots of options, 6 month sub is best and saves you the most 
Heck every b-day and chrstmas I ask for a game card so right there is $60 and 4 months of game play .
Heck most years I get game cards and say like a visa r walmart gift card and I use those to buy more game time .
I bought SL with a gift card I got last Christmas.
I make more in an hour at work then what a months subscription would cost .

SMH. I know I am in the minority, I have resubscribed for 6 months every time because of the free mount. Can I get a gold instead? Maybe a title like, “Wouldn’t be caught dead in a butterfly suit”.
Not everyone considers that to be an issue. I personally have no problem with there being a small amount of paid transmog options, though this one I can’t think of a single class I’d use it for.
