8 year break

It’s literally 1 dungeon. A single dungeon. In one section. That fits the theme of the boss.
(and everyone uses addons to automate it)

  1. 90% do not care at all if you don’t DPS as a Healer in queued content, or even lower-end organized content.
  2. Even so, Healing is not an activity that takes up 100% of your time in any form of content. There just isn’t meaningful damage going out that much. 8 years ago, not DPSing meant you were recovering/conserving mana, and it was fine. But many DPS spells for Healers are mana-free now, so sitting around doing nothing is just… you being lazy. Why would you sit there doing nothing if there’s no reason for it anymore?

Eh. Mixed on this one.
“GO GO GO” mentality has been a thing since at least WotLK with the Dungeon Finder later on, and most likely before that. And skipping mobs you don’t have to pull has always been a part of that. There were some particularly bad examples of it in WoD in Everbloom.

But Mythic+ (first added in Legion), has absolutely made more people care way more about speed/efficiency in low-end content than before. People are so used to being timed that they feel like they’re doing it wrong if it’s not being done as if they were in a Mythic+ Dungeon.

So, old problem exaggerated by new systems, I guess?
