8 rep grinds for flying

Brutal

Excessive

Bad design

Makes you question ‘is this even worth it?’

Inflexible, doesn’t allow for other playstyles to get the reward with the same time investment. Some players hate questing. Some hate rep grinds. Some love pvp. Some love dungeon grinding. etc etc. Why not allow flexbility in playstyles to get the reward

Way easier to time gate one method rather than time gate 8

Yep I very likely wont be flying. Don’t really care about flying and I detest rep grinds. Especially in this xpac.

Six should already exalted if all you do is the WQ daily.

Exactly. Getting revered with these factions isn’t exactly difficult.

You totally missed the point.

If you don’t already have Pathfinder Part 1 you basically don’t play the game.

It’s the “double edged sword” and “danged if you do, danged if you don’t” conundrum.

If you don’t do the rep grinds or some other prerequisite for Flight Blizzard will use this data to say that flying isn’t that important of a feature to you.

If you complete Pathfinder then Blizzard will say that Pathfinder is a success and players have so much fun doing all these steps.

There was a point?

You do know that every game has a story right? Dungeon grinding isn’t the story, PvP isn’t the story, picking flowers isn’t the story

Questing through the zones = the story = flying

So in BC, Wrath, Cataclysm, and MoP we weren’t doing the story?

Man we suck, no wonder 10,000,000 players have quit the game!

You realize of course that you can level through the zones, seeing the story, exploring the map all in a single day right?

You realize that cyborg gnomes on a meaningless island and sea people from the bottom of the ocean have jack all to do with flying right?

I dunno how people aren’t exalted with all the existing BFA reps already.

So what if there are a couple more?

It’s pretty easy to get revered with all the factions. Doing all the story quests within each of the zones gets you to honored and a half with their respective factions, and getting 7th Legion reputation isn’t that hard either with the introduction of Invasions.

The longest one would probably be champions of azeroth, but you should be getting to revered with that rep in the first place, and it doesn’t take too long considering it rewards more rep per world quest than others.

Same with tortollans, and not only that, there’s also contracts which make the grind a lot easier too.

Two more to revered, which will probably reward rep while you do the quests isn’t so painful.

I love how they touted “YAY, you all get to fly in the new zones and it is awesome.” They didn’t say, “Oh by the way, you have to get revered with both of the two new zones first… suckers”.

Why is that a ‘gotcha’? It’s been the exact same way for 3 expansions. Pathfinder 2 is always rep with the new factions in the new zones. Which takes hardly any time since you’re doing all those new zone stuffs anyway.

The only ones without pathfinder 1 are those quitters who unsubbed because of pathfinder or other stupid reasons. Now if they come back, it’s a butt-bite.

Those of us who’ve been playing have no issue with pathfinder 2.

Flying, it’s not like riding a bike.

Really? My Demon Hunter doesn’t agree. He has Loremaster for Zandalar and his highest reputation is only 1/2 through Honored. Have they buffed the rep rewards from quests in the last 5 months?

No, it’s exactly like that - it’s a friggin video game with the same keyboard/mouse controls.

You can complete P1 by the time P2 comes out. They very likely won’t change it so it’s probably best to get started

Was he doing other things beside world zone quests? If he was pvp’ing and dungeon’ing, then yeah, not enough rep. Doing a few WQs will kick him to revered.

But only one of your chars need to do the pathfinders and then everyone can fly.
