8 classes REWORKED for alpha, not a mention of shaman

I am 100% ok with this idea IF and only IF they remove all shocks and move Elemental from a Mastery class to a crit class like a mage, meaning our spells don’t auto crit IE Lava Burst. That would give our big spenders a build up and would give us 3 Elements to use for offensive while we could use Earth as our defensive abilities.

No it does not need a rework, and it already has multiple builds. Your issue is with tier sets, not enh.

Enh does not have bloat.

shamans have the most free and not-locked-in points out of pretty much any class in their class tree. why are you asking for this to be worsened?

Lets just admit it at this point it would be better to just remove shaman from the game with the fact that blizzard hates the class so much they wont even acknowledge that there are so many issues with the class.

Let’s hope they pull a rabbit out of their hat

I’d rather see them pull a hat out of the rabbit cause that’s the only way shaman will be fixed

The crickets on TWW for shaman, the laughable and crap meme spec that is the farseer hero tree and my other two long hybrid alts looking interesting and fun, think maybe a reroll is in order.

This class is dead and yeah, maybe blizzard should just stop beating around the bush and delete the thing.

I see both sides of this one. On one hand it is nice having flexibility in the class tree. On the other hand most of that flexibility comes from the talents in the tree either being super situational or just useless for enhancement.

Let’s be honest, Faminex. I could sneak into your class tree right before a raid and uncheck a dozen or so of the talents and you would never notice.

I don’t think it’s nearly that gross of a number. But still, I think having the freedom to use points as you want is much better than having anything locked in. Especially throughput talents like you see with other specs, forcing you to reach the bottom of X side of the tree and potentially going through worthless nodes and locking you out of situational things you may want as a result.

Unless it is a usable spell or ability, this is 100% correct. The same for almost any passive talent in the restoration tree. If spec trees were meals, you got specs like fire mages living off prime rib while enhancement is spam and eggs, restoration is spam and cabbage, and element is tofu and frozen broccoli.

For one he’s talking about class trees and not spec trees, and aside from the lunge/hs nodes what exactly makes the enh tree “spam and eggs” ?

So for this I do agree. But you have to look at how the dev team acts, they give us something like this they will gut what ever it is attached too, to justify us getting it. I think for Ele and Enhancement you attach that to Ascendance. Make Ascendance base line and just have it increase our damage and healing by a % just like wings does with paladins. That is where it would fit the best and leave Shamanisitic Rage just a defensive.

Yes I love Crash lighting I do miss the dot effect it had. I do agree with this 100%

:100: %

So they can fix this by just a small change to Spirit Walk. They can change it to where it just makes us immune to movement slowing effects and snares. But the thing is that for paladins Blessing of Freedom can be stolen or purged. But that would fix the movement issue.

The main part I want to see is Acendance changed to just increase our damage and healing by a % and new visuals for it. That would help a lot imo.

Lightning build is the better off of the 2 builds and actually makes use of most elements. The main problems with it is the rigidity of the rotation and the lack of mobility. Having to move frequently would be a lot less frustrating if there wasn’t such narrow buff/debuff windows.

The fire build is just garbage. Any gameplay that’s just focused around spamming 1 ability as much as possible just sucks. The spenders are way too weak. It’s just not a fun play style.

I also just really dislike Elemental Blast as a spender. It doesn’t need to replace Earth Shock. Especially since Earth Shock and Earthquake are the only earth element spells we have.

I’ve always felt Elemental Blast has been a lackluster spender for us.

So I noticed that on the wowhead beta talent calculator, enhancement actually had sundering and feral lunge moved to the left side of the tree with more paths to both of them. They also moved the self heal choice node from under storm strike to lower in the tree which I’m not sure helped anything but it at least means they are looking at our trees.

Thats already really big. Me and another raider were looking at Feral Lunge for Fated Raz and had a long talk about what we would have to drop in order to get it and got sad.

I don’t like where they moved refreshing waters/focused insight because it was fine where it was and it’s harder to get now. But where they moved feral lunge and sundering is great, makes both of them pretty easy to take with any build.

I am pretty sure that is just the default template from the start of DF. Thats what it used to look like. I dont think that is a actual change but just what wowhead defaults too when there is no patch data

People are saying enhance is fine because it performs well DPS wise, but it has a button bloat problem and an issue with being forced out of doing anything Wind fury related which is what the iconic enhance shaman is.

Performance wise it’s good, but that doesn’t mean the spec is right.

It isn’t just because of how we are doing DPS wise, it is how Enhance feels and plays at least for me.

This I will give you but most classes have this again. It is either bloat heven or blizzard prunes everything back to how it used to be. Some abilities aren’t worth pressing and there for should not have a spot on the action bars.

So I am using the Storm build which is Wind Fury with the exception of WF totem. I think it was stupid that Blizzard made WF a talent it should be base like Flame Tonge. I do not know why FT is base but WF is not.

This has been the same story for the last decade or at least as long as i have been playing the game. Get used to it, besides it doesnt really matter does it? It is a video game.
