Oh right I was grossly misremembering her magic there. That was the whole veil being pulled back to reveal the fleet. Duly noted and I retract my asking.
Who wouldnât?
Itâs not new. Any time mages are involved the Alliance ends up on the winning side of it, usually because of Jaina.
Even if we had magic protection on ships sheâd just pull some random new spell out of her behind to bypass them because sheâs the best mage to ever mage and no other mage can stop her.
Rule of cool is not cool.
Seems like BfA is driving that trope to the ground.
Three ships is a pretty big stretch to call a âfleetâ on anything but a technicality. Itâs like calling three ducks a flock.
Let me know when the Alliance actually causes enough damage for the Horde to start recruiting farmers like the Stormwind is. Otherwise that just sounds like âHans Rudel is overpowered, surely the Allies are on the ropes now!â
I imagine some of it is just game limitations. The same reason why like 10 people constitutes an âarmyâ, in some places.
I somewhat doubt the Horde only sent literally three ships to assault the biggest and most well defended port of the most famous and powerful maritime nation on Azeroth.
Well now Iâm afraid it just goes to pure [citation needed] territory. We see three ships, unless we are told there are more, there are three ships.
The opportunity. Key word there.
You donât get to scale the feat infinitely just because you feel like it.
I do, actually. Hereâs another keyword: potential.
We make a big deal out of the Abyssal Scepter because it can single handedly wipe out entire fleets by itself, itâs not any less powerful because thereâs not an immedate usage for it.
sigh And the Horde equally has the potential to say âHey, great ideaâ and telemancy the entire Kul Tiran fleet full of Azerite bombs, and the Stormwind fleet for good measure, and blow the entire thing sky high.
The Horde has the âpotentialâ to lob azerite shells ICBM style at Stormwind using the Azshara cannon leaving no way of fighting back as the Alliance sees every quarter get the Cataclysm Park treatment, and the docks to boot.
But I donât get to say that, and neither do you. You do not get to scale feats infinitely. As it is, the goblin canon has blown up nothing, and Jaina blew up three, count them, THREE ships.
And they could do that, thereâs no valid argument against it, which is what happens when youâre so vague with the rules of magic in your setting. That said, blowing up stormwind is a long stretch from teleporting a few bombs to approaching ships from a nearby shore.
Do you need Jaina to freeze Zandalar solid to finally admit sheâs a bit over the top?
No, but I need her to do something more impressive than âindirect azerite shellsâ when she could just as easily remove the in from that phrase and have just as much impact more immediately. It was rule of cool, not practical.
Sure. Jainaâs over the top. There I did it!
Do you need a couple no-name shamans to heat up some catapults to nuke a continent sized tree to admit the entire plot is a bit over the top and Jaina is literally nothing special past your fixating?
Two bullshiznits donât cancel out, iâll keep calling out absurdity when I see it.
So once again Jaina defeats the horde by herself and we have no hero remotely able to do anything to stop her because they killed off Kaelâthalas. Well nice to know how this is going to go guess Iâll just stack gold through this patch because we wonât really be doing anything else except cowering before the alliance justice league.
If it came down to a snark-off, Rommath could handle her no problem.
Shhhh do you want us to lose rommath too??? You know how the writing team works now the second the horde likes a character or takes pride in it they villiain bait them into Garrosh.
3 is indeed a fleet when talking of ships.

I learned my lesson after being upset Belmont wasnât in Vossâ place.
Donât mention your favorites, nothing good can come of it.
They are, and any of the prominent nightborne characters could teleport 3 bombs onto 3 ships.
The writers just donât think itâs important to showcase their unique combat abilities this expansion, because theyâre not Forsaken. Playing Horde, most quests you do utilize blight or raising dead enemies who then magically join your cause, you know, tools the Forsaken use.
Thereâs no reason they couldnât have Occuleth teleport bombs onto Kul Tiran ships besides the reason that they just donât want to tell that story.
