No longer Asus only. Got cases for other brands too.

The x670 Strix Extreme Gaming E must be a really solid Mobo this Gen. From what I have seen and in your reddit thread it seems people on that board along with the MSI Godlike and I think the ACE are not seeing any issues.
I will also note that the moment I picked up my ROG STRIX X670E-E GAMING motherboard out of its box I noticed a distinct and MUCH improved build quality compared to my older x570 Dark Hero Motherboard. It was a night and day difference on build quality. Its also a very heavy motherboard that feels Premium
Root cause identified.

Another AMD blips.
Update:
The villain revealed!

Update 2:
Fire hazard!
Yeah luckily Im just one of those who look at voltages. Especially on a NEW build. I saw that 1.4 SoC on day 1 back in Jan. Overrode it in manual mode and set it to 1.25000
Ill keep it there too till they have a stable BIOS update thatâs not a Beta Bios.
Sadly most users clearly wouldnât pickup on this. Im not saying they should have. This is 100% both AMD and Motherboard Vendors fault. Was more saying Im just glad I caught it
Thank you very much. Is this with max settings? (10 on everything including shadows and distance)
Now, RT off, everything max except shadows set to high, anti aliasing set to CMAA 4x4. Seems to run pretty smooth for the most part except Valdrakken where it still chugs when itâs loaded with people, even though the fps shows high.
If you have a GPU better than a RTX 2080 Id change your anti aliasing to MXAA only (Multisampling) and set the Multisampling Rate to 8x. In wow specifically CMAA tends to lean more on a mix of GPU and CPU handing your anti aliasing. Where MXAA will leave anti aliasing to the GPU alone.
I guess wow does this so older systems can run wow and still have it look Pretty
Asus being anti consumer. Charge high prices and crap quality.
Asus UK thinks its fine buying positive reviews.

At this point its pick your poison.
I guess Asrock is the one with the least bad publicity nowadays.
Iâm going MSI if I buy next product.
My Husband is on the Auros Master. Itâs been a very solid board for him. It also has a 5-year warranty which is longer than most motherboards
I had my fill with X570 Aorus Master and Z690i Aorus Ultra Plus DDR4. Crappy bios.
Wanted to try MSI.
MSI MPG Carbon seems to be their best bang for your buck this generation from what I have seen in reviews I just have no personal experience to recommend them
If my assus strix ever fails Iâm not even going to attempt an RMA Iâm just going to swap it out for the MSI MPG Carbon.
Luckily day one I noticed the soc problem and set it to 1.25 manually. I have since dialed it down to 1.2. Expo has been completely stable at that voltage
Tomahawk is enough for me. Donât want those extra bells and whistles.
For someone who doesnât care about bells and whistles or RBG the tomahawk has pretty much been the go-to board for that for the past two generations on both platforms. I have yet to see a complaint about that board.
I just got myself an msi for my 13700k actually. MSI is probably my favorite for UEFI.
The only âbadâ experience I had with MSI is itâs the only board I had that fire off some sparks. they were quick to send me a replacement and paid for my Rma ship back
Which though? Tomahawk, Carbon or ACE? I love the cook of the carbon this Generation. Like I said if my Strix ever Fails thats the one Im getting myself
I think for itx they only have the gaming edge.
I made a new thread on this for self awareness to other Wow Players and PC Enthusiast.
So I wasnt going to touch base on this just because its kind of Taboo in the PC world to do so but I have since changed my mind. So here it goesâŚ
Yes its all of them. (all the top companies) See BelowâŚ
You are not wrong! This is 100% the truth. At the moment buying from ANY brand is pretty much Pick Your Poison at this point. Every member of the Triad (the top 3 companies) have done âscumbaggeryâ at some point. (borrowed the phrase from steve at GamersNexus) Some worse than others. Yet people have quickly forgot about those during this problem with Asus.
Remember during COVID during the graphics Card shortage when MSI was caught scalping their own products? Before that Gigabyte had exploding power supplies and flat out denied RMAs and denied it was ever a REAL issue even though tech reviewers has video after video of how and why it was happening. Which is kind of along the same lines as what Asus is doing now. Companies are NOT your friends and will try to get away with whatever they can when you are not looking. Dont even get me started on Neweggs âscumbaggeryâ. Which to this day is still worse than Asus but not by much.
With that said? None of this is ok. Its sad its happening.
So yes it is very much Pick your Poison. So me personally, I just buy form whatever brand makes what I currently need.
I think this video touches base on a lot of what is going on.
