My guess is that the only reason people are frustrated with these reps is that they lock flying. Reps didn’t use to lock flight. In fact, I don’t recall reps locking anything all that worthwhile other than maybe some shoulder enchants or some fresh max level gear that was quickly replaced in the first raid.

I think the reliance on rep to slow our content consumption is one of the problems with current game design in WoW. I used to do rep grinds mostly for the little stories they told and the way they changed the world like Molten Front. Most reps these days don’t even have a story. They’re just kind of there.

I’ve killed a few rares, but I didn’t gone out of my way to kill them. Neither did I do the alter time lime every day after it became available (another source of extra rep). I did it the one time it became available. In short, I just did the WQ, the quests, killed rares that were in my area, and that was it. No farming or camping.

My mecha rep is about 6k? into revered. My naz rep is only about 3k? into revered. I ignored naz the first couple days :expressionless: But that’s because I like mecha more than naz.

He knows all that. He has a reputation. Everyone, except for Blues apparently, know he’s just a scum sucking bottom feeding attention seeking junkie. Or in simpler terms, he’s a forum troll. A pathetic one at that.

And it doesn’t take forever to get across the zone, he’s just trying to make the zone out like he’s having to cross all of Kalimdor. It probably takes longer to fly from Boralus to Brennadam, Stormsong than it does to ride from mechagon FP to the fishing “daily” on the other side.

Yeah there was a kill rares wq up in naj once. I did a other dailies and wq in the area and by the time I was done still didn’t have enough kills so I just didn’t do it.

We Need a Rustbolt Emissary! This reputation is lagging for many players.
edit: despite working 8 hour days on reputation, my rustbolt is 2800 honored while my unshackled is 6200 honored.

So, if you do the math, each day you get 850 reputation from the Mechagon daily quest. That is 5950 rep from the daily world quest. At a MAXIMUM of two emissaries a week for the Nazjatar rep, you are getting 3950 extra Mechagon rep each week over the Nazjatar one.

You are doing something wrong, good sir.

Nazjatar is farily small. It’s made artificially larger due to the way the roads and paths work. It FEELS bigger than it actually is. It’s fairly small and anyone with flying right now will tell you that.

Thankfully they fixed that to only require 1 rare on naz. Because there was too much public outcry about spawn times and the like.

I think I got it once. Didn’t even try the second time. It just wasn’t worth the rep.

Mechagon had kill 3 rares a couple times (I think). Think I did it once. I didn’t grind, unlike some. Already revered.

Moot point. Mechagon IS easier to get rep with. Even without grinding or camping.

Oh! They changed it? My pc has been down for 3 days so I’ve not been back on.

I gave up on the 3 rares on mech too. I’m not staying online for that long to get them lol.

I still have higher rep in naj. Not sure why I’m different from everyone else. I just get less in mech.

Netherdrake required exalted with Netherwing to acquire in BC. It was the first dragon mount in game at the time, and was a must have item for a lot of players.

I have been very very busy grinding reputation and have been playing way more than average.

I have had a few meltdowns and had to post about critical issues that demanded immediate attention by Blizzard. Fortunately, Blizzard has generally followed all of my recent suggestions nerfing many things (numbers of elites needed, number of rares needed, hit ability and points of various mobs, nerfing the crazy tirin torn like quests with tangled cords and color matching…I could go on.)

There is still important work for Blizzard to do. But as they implement more and more of my suggestions the game steadily improves.

P.S. Only 6 hours today to finish the quests!!!

You’re comparing a mount that took grinding just one rep (and could be done in a day if you farmed eggs) to flight being locked behind like 7 reps for over a year. You don’t see the major difference? Your example is essentially a skin. Flight is almost a necessity once in the game.

You’re clearly just wanting to fight. If you want to split hairs and cherry pick examples then so be it. Nobody got to exalted with Netherwing in one day, it took me 6 months, what are you talking about? You stated you didn’t recall, well guess what…I did and you don’t get to dismiss something just because it doesn’t sit well with your argument.

What does it matter if it’s a skin? We are talking about rep grinding, again trying to squeeze everything to fit your nonsense.

I’m 52, mainly keyboard turn and am horrible at “arcadey stuff.” But I did it, since they made it easier.

What location is “far?”

Yes, they do follow us TOO far. I agree with this, you are always “in combat”, with aggro, even when they are NOT following. So you have to go back and figure out which mob was after you, or hopefully someone else kills it. It basically forces you to combat anything that aggros, unless you are lucky enough to be an FD/Shadowmeld character.

Rustbolt is actually VERY fast to revered. I STARTED Rustbolt last Saturday, after getting Anakoaahnn(SP, BIRD DUDES) to 5700 in honored. I’m now 700 or so away from revered with Rust. Rust has tons of rep stuff.

FYI: Fishing. Of course no one likes it, but I went from 33 in fishing to max (175 kultiran fishing.) This was just doing that daily, for 250 rep (over a period of days.) I can’t remember where I got it, but I think a link from a comment on wowhead led me to:

You also catch TONS of sentry fish (1 for 1 turn into scrap.)

You get lots of other fish, including midnight Salmon a lot for me (off work at 1 am, most nights.)

You might balk at this suggestion, but when your fishing gets high you catch them WAY faster. I knock this out pretty fast, now.

I still have to get more polished pet charms to have “The Right Pets.” I do HAVE ikky, but it was level one. So I need charms to level it up easily. Still have to get the unborn valk. These are a lot of the suggested pet battle pets for both zones (also rep.)

What are you doing? Picking flowers?

I would like you to make a video of you doing Naz & Mech and post it on youtube or similar. Some proof of your difficulties.
Then “helpful” people will point out what you are doing wrong.
