I would say that’s probably likely. If we get into late January, early February and there’s still only a couple of dev responses then I’ll be on board with some of the sentiments in this thread. But I’m willing to give it a little time before casting Battle Rage and creating spreadsheets.

I wish Korrak was a Blizzard employee who would reply to players on the forum.

Korrak has energy and doesn’t afraid.

I glimpsed there what appears to be a pro-ML thread. I’m deciding how I feel about it…

They have to. We do not need a council if they aren’t going to address the touchy subjects. Otherwise the remaining players simply stop playing and/or leave for other games.

No, they don’t.

Even with only 100 people in the council, having the expectation that they’ll respond to every thread is unreasonable.

Keep in mind that these developers are not community managers, communicating with the fans is not part of their job description, so there’s insecurity and anxiety there, because this is new and not something they’ve ever had to deal with.

So don’t set the bar to unreasonable heights and give them some patience. The first phase of this council is going to be here for a year and a bunch of you are acting like it’s already failed not even 2 weeks in.

Then we do not need the council, unfortunately.

Blizzard disagrees.

You wanted communication, you’re going to get it. Already I’ve seen more engagement from Blizzard on the CC forums there than I’ve seen from them on the forums anywhere else in the past few years.

So even this small amount, just before the holidays, is an improvement.

By the way, if you didn’t notice, it’s the holidays so many staff are on break focusing on spending time with their families.

Or are they not allowed to do that either?

Entitlement!

What do you mean by this sentence?

Your expectation is that if Blizzard doesn’t answer 100% of community threads, then there is no reason for it to exist.

Your expectations are unrealistic.

75% should be answered. Otherwise it was just a PR-stunt and people will eat them alive.

LOL I knew this Community Council thing was going to be a farce on Blizzards side.

They could just hire me to do it, I have probably read more threads and responded to them than all of the WoW team together. I won’t even be mean, I will reel it in.

Well, there is one vacant spot in the Community Council right now…

You just had to go and piss off the Twitter brigade huh.
And truthfully, if they ever did put me on the council, I’d take it and I would act like a good boy on the forums. But I’d rather they actually read my posts. Was wishing a class designer would respond to Letholas’ well thought out Frost DK balance thread, but nope. My spec is bound to suck forever.

Twitter is pissed off on their own, I had nothing to do with it

Nah, I’m just playing, Twitter is Twitter. They misconstrued what you were saying, but they had numbers

Apologies if you’ve stated this already; but where did your CC tag go?

I know there are some bugs with the forums at times, but just curious. (Former MVP, sometimes my name would go back green, but it’s fixed now.)

He got fired
