< 600 players raid logged on Angerforge. Merge with Skyfury needs to happen

I know Blizzard likes their paid transfer money, but this is getting ridiculous. Less than 600 total logged this week. Skyfury had 13000 logged. We are barely a blip on the radar. This server was created out of a kneejerk reaction to queues on Skyfury, so I’m not seeing the reason for the hesitation other than a few extra dollars. You’ve already milked it for all its worth considering the plummet in 80s who paid transfer off. At this point they are going for the last remaining drops off the teat.

Just. Merge. Already.

As far as I see it, anyone who made a character on Angerforge is the reason they made the “kneejerk” reaction. Blizzard held the line for days, but the pushback kept getting larger and louder.

If you are on Angerforge, you were part of the voice for opening it when it wasnt needed.

With that said. Server transfers should be free always and the server model is outdated and needs to be addressed.

Blizzard really shouldn’t have made a second fresh PVP server. They were right with their one fresh PVP server (and even the one PVE fresh server) thing so it’s too bad they caved to all the people complaining about queues.

They really shouldn’t have. But they did. So it’s their responsibility to address this issue of Angerforge is as bad as OP is saying. I hope they don’t want six months to do something, but that’s been their MO lately.

I wouldn’t put blame on Blizzard on this one. There were clearly too many people seeking fresh for amount of servers at the time, so they opened more. If any of those servers dies now, it only proves people don’t want to play fresh and go all the way, they’re just fresh seeker addicts.

With that said, it’s possible the raiding scene hasn’t stabilized yet and is still growing, since a fresh server will be behind other servers in terms of characters at max level.

Agreed, Blizzard should be more on the ball with server issues in general.

I do genuinely feel bad for the low info players who didn’t expect queues and took the bait to go to a free transfer server

But those instant gratification andies who have played since classic launch that plague the wow forum/reddit, constantly crowing about queue times and ignoring the sane voices that said it would be over in a few weeks, really should look at themselves for the situation they find themselves in on their dead servers

I don’t feel bad about anyone who left Skyfury and I don’t want them back anytime soon

If you made a character on Angerforge and thought it would be fine, you live under a rock.

Angerforge was opened to appease the players that demanded it. Enjoy your fresh server. This one is not on Blizzard.

Not sure Angerforge hit more than 3k concurrent since launch tbh

Imagine lacking the foresight to see that this was going to happen and leaving the glory of Skyfury

:sob:

Bring my brothers home, I welcome the angerforgiens back with open arms

Angerforge should have always been a temporary solution. Queueing for 4+ hours for over a week needed a solution - people were paying without access to play on the fresh server.

They should just be merged at this point, even logging in for heroics shows maybe half a dozen people total. NO, not asking for RDF, but seeing as both server populations are now well under the cap a merger would go a long way to renewing the health of the population.

It needs merged and FAST or, at the least, offering a free transfer

Considering that the whole transfer system is automated, it for sure should be free. A 7-day-long cooldown would be nice for preventing spam, though.

Everyone saw this coming. Anyone who took transfer from populated realms were all baited. enjoy the $25 xfer

What’s your point other than being miserable? Of course many either started or transferred there, it was 4+ hours queue during most of working people’s available time.

Server’s are both fresh, should now be merged.

It’s becoming clear that blizz may actually know what’s best. Giving in to the screaming demands on the forums is often the wrong decision.

everyone knew these queues would die out

so lie in your bed? Small servers aren’t a terrible thing

Why let more people on a realm than it can handle in the first place?

Of course this is on blizzard.
