Who here was a main caster that re rolled because of Solo Shuffle?
This is my first season playing caster dps and I’m already sick of playing against 3 melee all day long.

i don’t mind vsing melee nearly as much but it’s getting on my nerves how worthless they are at helping me do anything
ele boomy beats unholy bm this week 0 times out of 100 but do you think the ele wanted to help me clone
ele counts as melee btw
I can totally feel this, feels like when you are paired with melee as a caster you have to work even harder to get a win against double melee as well unless you have a rogue on your team. But without voice in solo shuffle most things just get DRd.
3-3 disc flaming you every round here mind if i extend clone dr 1 second before it resets
i havent done a solo shuffle since before spriest was even nerfed lol
I don’t blame you!
I love playing my dh in solo shuffle, people finally leave me alone!
Immortality is an added bonus.
I like immortality, maybe it’s time for my re roll!
One of us!
ONE OF US!
Do Devokers not count as casters? cause i see those op monsters freaking every que
I still see DH and DK every lobby, even though the nerfs made them both “unplayable”
Ifk but i was just thinking like theres a lot of caster pain threads, and it got me thinking.
Like what if just every offensive & healing spell in the game worked like the breath attacks.
Leaving only CC as traditional casts.
Like since so many people want to be rewarded for fake casting / theres debate about the health of precog, why not just allow tiered casting.
Short cast negligible effect, maybe just something functional - tickles + generates maelstrom, applies chill, keeps ignite up, etc. A small benefit or even an intentional return to form - kind of like manually downranking spells in earlier expansions
Is that too much or would casters like that?
Obviously this wouldnt be allowed for cc
Rank one tickle damage/small heal + primary effect application at reduced potency perhaps.
Rank 2 maybe half damage/heal with reduced effect.
Rank 3 normal spell.
Rank 4 uncharted territory?? Just a thought
If nothing else it makes sense for hunter casts to be hold & release
Tiered casting is the main reason I don’t like playing my evoker.
It’s clunky and feels weird. Half a spell isn’t satisfying. It’s precisely why every tier cast evoker does is either “more targets each tier” or “bigger upfront damage, smaller dot each tier for same total damage”.
Yeah same. But i figured om not the best gauge for whats fun as a rogue main
Everyone used to have tiered casting. It was called downranking, and until it was nerfed/removed you could cast certain utility spells for cheaper/faster (e.g. r1 frostbolt).
Evoker’s charged casts are buggy as all hell and shouldn’t be put on any other class since it’s been half a year and they can’t seem to fix it.
Yeah i referenced downranking in my post unless i edited it out dunno.
Just this bit here.
I always loved downranking. So in my mind lobbing a cheeky fast frostbolt or something would be nice variety.
Especially in tbc or classic where it conserves mana.
Ah yeah see my evoker got instant deleted cause unfun lol so i wasnt aware of this
Oh my god, it’s the most frustrating thing I’ve perhaps ever experienced on WoW. Literally never seen as many game-breaking bugs as on evoker, it’s shocking it went live like this.
Eternity Surge and Fire Breath fail to cast about 50% of the time. Literally. Cannot tell you how many fights I’ve lost because my hard-casted burst just doesn’t go off.
Deep Breath can glitch out and stay in the wind-up animation, CCing yourself for 5+ seconds and wasting the CD (!).
Half of our important abilities are notoriously buggy reticule targets that just don’t work at crucial moments.
Do thry have macro functionality? Like automatically complete cast at x threshold?
No. There’s a setting you can change in combat settings to make it fire on key release or second tap. In my experience second tap is much less prone to bugging out.
