6 month subscription

So I have been purchasing 6 month subs for the past several years, 3 months into my current sub i wanted to transfer an alt to another realm. I noticed that my payment options where outdated so i updated the payment info. to my surprise when I did not get the usual 6 month seb ingame gift ( the murloc backpack xmog) I inquired about this, After several rounds with CS i was told they cancelled my sub due to changing my payment options . To a current valid credit card replacingt he invalid cards. This makes no sense to me. They want to to pay for a new 6 month sub to reactivate my current sub. mind you i now have 2 months left on current supposive sub. Not a happy client after being loyal for 10 years

The only thing I would suggest, would be to try and hit up the Live Chat if/when it’s available when folks get back to work on Monday. I know right now it’s limited staff due to the holiday this week, and I don’t believe Live Chat is up on the weekends. Billing issues are all that Live Chat handles right now with folks still working from home with COVID stuff and all.

I don’t know that they can do anything better, but it’s worth a shot? If Live Chat is available, it’ll show up as an option along with creating a ticket in the Support interface.

Live chat availability is erratic at best.

I would go ahead and submit a support ticket. They have a problem with purchase option under the billing category that would be suitable.

If you can get into live chat, you can always just cancel the ticket and if you can’t get in to chat, you will have a ticket higher up in the queue that if you put it in on Monday.

The Game Masters who respond on Live Chat are the same Game Masters who take and answer tickets. They are held to the same policies and procedures as the rest of support.

This is correct. When you remove your payment method from the account it cancels the active subscription associated with it. Your new payment method will not be charged until you run out of time, so it is not considered ‘active’ on the new card until that has occurred. This would normally not be something you notice, if not for the current promotion.

That’s fine, you do not need to renew right now if you do not wish to. I believe the intent of support making that suggestion was if you wanted the bundle contents immediately. You can wait for 2 months and if you have a valid payment method on your account then it should attempt to renew your subscription when that time comes. If you purchase a 6-month subscription you should receive the same bundle benefits.
