50 % mortal strike on PTR? bug or intended?

So im testing out my warrior on the PTR and i notice when i mortal strike something the mortal wounds debuff says it reduces healing taken by 50%.

Is this a bug or intended? holy crap 50% healing reduction is quite a ton.

This is without using sharpen blade. I notice if i use sharpen blade the tooltip doesnt change

It’s upped to 50% for PvE purposes, in arena everything is reduced by half to be the same values as they were before.

Probably to add healing mechanics to M+ mobs/bosses

Honestly, they should buff healers and let Mortal Strike in PVP be 50% and have every melee class have access to it.

  1. Double caster Meta destroyed.
  2. Insane Hybrid offhealing destroyed.
  3. No one likes dampening matches except people who only eventually win because of dampening
  4. Tanks in PVP would get steamrolled by melee.
  5. Comp variety increased.

Good idea, except

Would destroy comp diversity, you just want double melee to rule.

I was going to disagree but i realized you were talking about this meta. Yea the DPS healing is beyond insane. Im personally a little salty that other classes that war have been progressively given a MS. That use to be war nitch >:(
I just want all the passive healing gone. Force people to play smarter instead of being a damage bot void of positional and often CD concerns.

You don’t need to buff healing for that, Otw damp wouldn’t be a thing.

I’m hoping healing gets toned down and damp gets removed. If they didn’t mess up the ilvl scaling we could actually see that happen.
