I have a very unusual problem. I used Spyragos, Neltharion and Wicker Pup. After winning the mission, he doesn’t appear to get the Muffin. Tried again, and nothing…
Try turning off all your addons…before doing the pet battle…have your team ready and loaded …
My understanding is they have confirmed this will be obtainable after the annivesary event is over. They’ll need to do some tweaking to unlock the necessary title but beyond that: nothing else is needed.
I love all things pet battle, it’s the only reason I’ve stayed subscribed until now. However, I will no longer put up with their shenanigans that waste my time. They need to start respecting their CUSTOMERS!
Managed to fix the daily lockout situation by logging in and out, just don’t loot any chests. (because that will lock you out)
Which, if that’s the case, then that’s great. It means new players (or those who might be busy playing something like Seasons of Discovery or Classic Cata/Fresh) aren’t panelized and can make progress on the bike, or at the very least, the storyline when they are able too.
Another commentor mentioned that Blizzard confirmed somewhere that they will be adding an alternative method to unlocking the Detective title after the event. The only thing that will be going away will be the Assistant to the Assistant Guest Relations storyline and associated quests, with all the Anniversary achievements likely being put to the Legacy tab like with Panda Remix. (save for the Token Collector achievement which will be a FoS achievement)
As someone with virtually no clue on how pet battles work can someone recommend a site that can tell me how to do these. I’ll be using Wicker, Sun touched, and snow claw for it. I tried it twice so far and didn’t even get through the second pet of the enemy before I was done.
I must say the pet battle was not as bad as I was expecting. Once I got three secret pets and got them leveled up. The actual battle was easy part with first try getting it.
Getting the pets was no big deal:
- Spyragos was the most complex one because you need to create 2 Obsidian keys to unlock the NPC selling the drinks. The whole quest chain took less than one hour.
- Nelthara was the easiest one because as Evoker I had it anyways.
- The last one is just travelling to Drustvar and collecting the parts which takes about 5min.
Got the pet battle done in first try because Spyragos survived the first opposite pet and brought the tank to 60% before dying. The rest was just cleaning up.
A few of them you can just buy off the AH.
And at least one ((Wicker Pup) is so easy to get, you should be embarrassed if you buy it off the AH. lol
But it’s not like anything I say here is going to stop people from buying a Token and just buying their way to the end. Never underestimate the power of lazy and stupid. Which is a very strong theme… recently …

Important to note - Spyragos also requires you to complete the Waking Shores questline to unlock. If you haven’t done that (and that is increasingly likely as time progresses) then it goes from “easyish” to “annoyingly long”
Another important thing…turn off all you addons…you don’t need any issues now…esp when trying to get too the Pet Battle down in that cave…
Nope… didn’t have any that I plan to use… so guess what… went back and did them… and for every single secret pet I went back to get… I was FAR FROM ALONE… everyone else is out there getting the old secret pets too!
Just discovered the hard way, apparently the only way I do things. That you have to do this on the same toon.
for this wowhead strat i had to buy the icebear pet for 40k in the ah. otherwise fighting for a catch among 10 other people with 1h respawn. i tried it first with this pig but its usless af.
this 5th riddle was truly unnecessary
So I have beat this guy twice with BAA’L, Wicked pup and taptaf and he is not giving me a quest. is it bugged?
You doing it in the cave and did you finish the previous orbs?
I did I see 4 orbs
