Really…you telling us Disabled folks we are wrong and that we shouldn’t be able to play on Tuesday just cause you have to work and we don’t…really…dang…
If they expect their “release” windows to be 4+ hours, they really should be starting at non-daytime hours.
There is no reason why they can’t start it at 3 or 4 am EST rather than 10 am EST. That would be the customer focused thing to do.
I’ll bring the marshmallows.
Is that what they call people who refuse to join in on the
Except the only reason that matters. Their employees that do the patches and maintenance arn’t at work at 3am and they see no reason to pay overtime or an extra shift so the 7 delusional people comaining about .0000002 cents are happy.
Salaried people wouldn’t get overtime either way.
In many jurisdictions they do. Trust me.
In most, they do not. Not for salaried jobs. Not for IT.
Salaried people also don’t enjoy starting work 3-5 hours early for no reason whatsoever because no matter what time they do maintenance someone will cry about it.
This is also assuming that everyone involved at blizzard is salaried.
In California IT workers earning less than $112,065/yr are NOT exempt from overtime.
Kinda early for the maintenance posts no ?
I mean a few things here.
You don’t need to start the shift 3-5 early. You can wake up do what you need to, then go back to bed. You could start late and/or leave early.
The standard maintenances (the ones that are 1 hr or less) can stay where they are.
But those 8 hour maintenances can be moved back.
You also don’t need the entire dev team during the release window.
But why? People play the game at 3am.
So you can play? Why are you more special then them? And why should blizzard rearrange it’s shifts and upset workers so you can log in?
Sure. It’s up 24 hours a day.
Though if I were to guess, on a Tuesday. There are less people around at 4-5 AM EST (1-2 AM PST) than there are at 10 am EST.
I am at work at those times, but most people who complain about this - presumably is because it is during their play time.
I don’t care much either way.
However their long maintenances - have extended well into 4-7 PM EST (major patches typically).
I’ve had the ui for the trader show up when pulling up the adventure guide a few times this week. I’d say the framework is there, but they need to make sure everything is switched on…and hopefully bug fix some stuff this week.
Had a 15 Academy run get butchered by bugs yesterday. Birds snapping to the starting area after a dps died and wouldn’t reset. Just kept evading. Same run had every group of lashers aggro to the tank when pulling the skitterfly pat.
Bird boss clipped through the platform and evaded then faded away and respawned with aggro on the healer.
It reminded me of the Tol Dagor days when you walked in and just wondered what bugs you’d encounter that day.
Such is wow nowadays.
lol you never played when it was 8 hours every week lol
I’ll be stopping in to check out this trading post. As it seems interesting. Guess I’ll find out.
I still haven’t gotten the incentive I would like to come purchase the new expansion. I did like the new rabbit mount. He/she did a really good job with the design. I love the satchel with the bushel of carrots. Cute touch. Overall I really like the design, animations and all. It’s nice to see some new things coming in the game. Not just the mount per say but hopefully this Trading post turns out alright.
My nitpick is I wish the new mount had the natural fur. Instead of the water skin/animation. Kinda like I would like some Otter mounts without spikes … don’t say never say never because there is like 50 wolves and horses? Still I enjoy seeing new creatures and activities come in. I am totally here for it.
I’m telling you that if you plan to play on Tuesdays that you shouldn’t be surprised when you can’t.
What Blizzard SHOULD do is wait until I’m offline and maybe call me to see if I’m taking a nap before they do maintenance. That way, it wouldn’t inconvenience ME - because, after all, that’s what’s important.
May have to do with the fact that WoW has been largely unplayable on Macs for the last week, and the hotfixes applied had to roll back Mac software to the version before the 10.05 patch, and even that didn’t fix a lot.
So maybe this is for them to actually fix and test the patch will run on one of the two operating systems they claim to support. Who knows.
