Used to be four-five hours every single week. Minimum. We are honestly spoiled nowadays.

All their maintenance times are excessive.

That is just pure bad they can do better.

Not so much, when maintenance used to regularly be 8 hours, just saying.

There’s a BC skimpy set that is pinkish. The pieces drop from random mobs, and bosses in all of the BC instances.

LOL I just laugh and laugh at all players that get upset about having to endure a 4 hr maintenance down
not so many years back we were getting 8+ hours Maintenance every dang Tuesday of the week
sometimes more then once in a week too
this complaining I see sure suggests that most of you complaining were not around for the big crash in Lich King for the patch called “Calling of the Crusade” 
 we were down for 10 hrs that day only to come up and within 30 mins all realms across the world crashed and many were down for over 36 hrs before it was fixed
it was so bad of a crash some players had to reinstall the game cause their files got damaged

I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but Dragonflight is full of bugs.

Even old stuff that works for years is broken now.

Court of Stars, Legion Timewalking, was just disabled a few hours ago, lol.

And Plaguefall was broken before that.

The list is near infinite.

They desperately need this time.

I love that someone was ambitious enough to get the maintenance thread out of the way a week in advance. I need to re-read this and see if there are any note worthy predictions for the future in here.

You do realize that most people at 10am EST are either on their way or at work /school in all 4 times zones . Europe is most likely calling it a night and Oceanic it is the middle of the night.

Yeas there are people that work non 9-5 hours and have weird days like Tuesday off (me being on of them ) but we are the minority and the schedule they use lets them be down when it affects the least amount of people .

YOu do realize that those 8 hour maintenances are done in a normal 8 hour work day .

Most cases (unless it is extended ) the game is up while EST is barely getting home or still commuting due to traffic while CST id just finishing up their work day and MST/PST still have a few hours to go .

So once again why should they get up in the middle of the night to do something to accommodate the minority , when they can do it when the majority is not affected?

Its amazing how other live service games that dont charge subs are able to do maintenance on servers without any public facing downtime.
