41% player base loss, are you one?

Nah. /10char

Well, that is a very honest internet response.

What source is that 41 percent number coming from?

After Torghast screwed me over royally this morning, by not giving me a way off of floor 5 (I was having such a great run), and I had to start over, I am closer than over to leaving.

I’m enjoying myself.

Some of the things I like are:

  • World quests are fun.
  • Dungeons and Mythic+ are a blast with friends.
  • Zones are beautiful and customization options rock.

Things I don’t like:

  • Castle Nathria.
  • The maw.
  • Torghast.

Had a feeling! At least you admit it haha

I mean I am playing a lot less than normal.

But that has to do with RL and my partner’s medical situation than any one game itself. I’m playing fewer games across the board because of my responsibilities at work and at home.

A lot of player loss I think has to do with people growing up and not having as much time these days.

Even in a pandemic a lot of us are still working and still busy. It’s hard to sit down and relax anymore

There was a Nielsen marketing report that came out. Haven’t seen it used before, but that may be because I haven’t paid attention.

Ya, sadly unless its coming from Blizzard directly, I have no interest in hearing it.
Its far too hard to judge what a member of this playerbase is especially now with Classic in the mix.

Well, let’s be honest here. Blizzard has gone out of their way to not show bad numbers since the WoD subscription bleed. This is not a random third party character counting addon, Nielsen is a pretty well known and reputable company.

I’m not a recent unsub, but this is the first expansion since I started when the game came out that I haven’t bought.

Edit: I guess I should say I bought it but refunded it when it was delayed after finding out a bit more about the story, class systems, ect.

Yep.

Sub runs out in a week. Considering keeping it going to keep playing Classic though, especially with BC announced. Still kinda split.

I’m still enjoying the game since i’m meeting new people through pvp and still have goals i want to hit for this season, and i just discovered i really like another class so i’m excited to start learning how to play it

I can see why people are leaving though

Your Boss stoped admitting his failures few years ago. So you will never hear it dead flower

Meh, I like SL (mostly), but Activision as a company grosses me out a bit more every year. I miss Blizzard.

I do wish they would do away with sharding and fix server issues (IE going to kill a world boss and have it essentially unplayable).

Allow surnames, stop the weird merges, and have more vibrant and “meaningful” player interaction with people on your own realm.

It would also be nice to have actual content in the game outside raiding/M+. Meta achievements/dynamic and ever changing world content with real rewards… Iunno, bring some RPG back into the MMO as so many have said.

After 16 years of the same log in, get ready for raiding, slay a few dragons and log out I actually want to do something different. Very little desire to raid, and M+ has become the only activity in the game ‘worth’ doing outside of that (which honestly feels the same).

I’m sure they are adequate for other games that don’t share playerbases across 2 games, with 3 regions each, AND have an active trend of players with 6 month subscriptions not logging in for 5 months of it.

This is not a game I would EVER trust a third party to give me information on, no chance.

I am my own boss now! Lost my proper job last spring thanks to the pandemic

no legacy content buff.

I am sure that a company with a 70 year history of obtaining, collating and presenting this information is not just some third party shmoe. Seriously, people do not typically give Blizzard any benefit of the doubt because they have actively downplayed their problems and have turned to creative accounting to hide sub numbers.
It is your choice to bury your head in the sand, and that may be an excellent way to keep that Green tag, but it does not reflect reality. To each their own, though.
