I was told tonight if you’re below 400k HP in the BGs (not ranked) you’re useless. After at least of year - maybe 2 - of being told 300k was the cut-off point.
I’m not a fan of scaling, but people in the casual BGs are getting a bit absurd. I get that people are looking for an excuse when you’re getting dumpstered, but crapping on people for made-up ideas isn’t going to help you win.
Its kinda true though unless you’re heals. A low geared healer can still contribute.
But dps? I really doubt if youre rocking 300k dps you’re contributing at this point in the xpac (it doesnt really matter since prepatch is tommorow anyway).
People are sick and tired of having the enemy team sitting at 600k hp and rocking mythic raid trinkets.
Meanwhile I keep having people with sub 100k hp with fort and rib buff… you’re essentially a hunter pet at that point.
I was a 392k healer.

It is kind of true though. I mean, if you’re around 400k HP it’s not that bad but I’ve routinely had to tell people fresh to 120 with no legendary cloak and no traits on their Heart that they really need to do something else because they’re nothing but a burden in PVP.
…of course I have now learned that people are shameless and don’t see anything wrong so long as they have a chance of getting 425 gear.
I guess what I’m getting at is this.
If you can’t even BG casually any more without gross gear requirements, we have a problem. If the BGs can’t group people by ilevel, then the only casual content is heroic dunges, all…what, 8 of them? And questing.
That’s some pretty terrible end game. Something should be done.
Could be worse could have a 30k team mate which I have had a few times which is a waste of a slot

That is definitely a record of sorts but I’ve had someone with 50k hp.
You’re exactly right. BG’s dont feel good anymore. And neither does rated PVP imho… stack 9 gushing wounds, and one holy shock can CHUNK someone.
TBH. Instanced PVP should be templated. PVE trinkets and gear effects should not be a thing.
Rewards for PVP should purely be cosmetic/titles. Black mongoose, black flames, black poison stuff. Edge lord rainbow nyancat weapon enchants even including bows/guns.
They need to introduce a template that you can customize and “build” a character with gear using stats YOU want to use. Make everyone a flat ilvl. And let people slay bodies.

Most likely a mix of being boosted and completely avoiding dungeon content.
Both my rogue and my warrior have around 80k HP fresh to 120.
wont be too much longer now though. Soon it will come down to BiS legos and what not but thats not till a few weeks into SL. Enjoy some level sync bgs with grounders or a friends alts or simply level an alt through some BGs with enchanted BoA gear. It’s not a bad past time while waiting for SL prepatch, if you like to PvP. I suggest a Druid, Hunter or mage as a BG leveler as all 3 do very well from 10 - 119.

They need to keep unrated PvP going so they can continue to pretend that they haven’t destroyed all of PvP while converting it into a giveaway to raiders.
if your rockin 400k hp in a bg you are probably around what 440 ilevel with your cloak and essenses. thats fine. you dont need raid gear to be competive. but to do some damage you gotta be able to cut through mage shields and all the self healing stuff. ive seen guys in bgs who cant really do any damage and die really really fast. i feel bad for em. one mage bigazz fireball and its all over. lol. but its end of xpac. guys are rockin 460ilevel no problems. i stopped trying to get gear on this priest a long time ago.
I don’t think 400k is useless. It’s ok, not amazing, but also not dead weight. At that health level you can still take someone on and possibly kill them.
Now the healer with 98k health running so much corruption she had 30% Inevitable Doom that I had in AB? That was a wasted slot imo
From what I’ve seen (talking about random pugs here)…
Most of my Alliance alts are in the ~400k health range, or around there. Never had anyone say anything to me about my healthbar.
People respond the most negatively to the 30-90k health zero-effort players (for obvious reasons).
