395/400 Item Level Emissaries: Yes please

Well something has to balance out the your not good enough for my io group mentality. I guess this is it lol.

Gear and character progression are an essential part of an MMORPG. What’s staggering is the amount of people that are ok with it being completely broken.

Catch up mechanics are fine. What is not fine is when the catch up mechanics are more efficient than current gear progression paths such as Raids, dungeons and PvP.

Thats fine. Solo Play should not reward Heroic Raid quality gear for trivial “can’t fail” world quests.

The challenge and time commitment of the activity should reflect the award.

Want heroic raid tier quality loot from solo play? It better be incredibly challenging and time consuming. Not 20 minutes of world quests.

No. How am I supposed to complete Shell Game without mythic gear?

More like so we don’t waste 40 minutes while trying to finish transmog sets for the only appearance worth collecting this expansion!

Catch up mechanics are fine as the new raid is closer to release. But the new patch is easily two months out.

Way too soon to invalidate PVE and PVP content IMO. Blizzard can do many things to make gearing interesting by having players work to unlock gem slots for example.

The fact that they feel they need to do that for LFR tells me LFR is going to be miserable to do.

some solo mythic and raid in legion. Mythic not so bad, raids can eat up some time since only +10 and not +11 to break the scale.

Some don’t hate dungeons/raids per se, its dealing with the people in them lol. Solo in legion any personalty conflicts are just one of those things only you can truly work out with yourself lol.

Also some open world casual just want to run this faster. I’ve said it before and will say it again…they kill the scaling of BFA the raid/dungeon people can keep there goodies exclusive really.

Till then, yeah…, reaching 120 is jsut the start of the character build. Now its getting the gear to make the game actually fun. Seeing this on 6th 120. The druid as she creeps up the ilevels feels stronger, better.

340 I can say I am becoming content even as feral. 380/390…I should be a very happy kitty (literally loll). More chances at better gear makes this go much smoother.

Emissary quests rewarding this will invalidate even LFR. What is up with gearing in BFA? It is busted across the board.

Probably best to run far far away from a guild like this.

LFR isn’t meant for gearing. It’s only there as a tour version of the raid content. They had to give you something for it so you get gear rewards but that’s not the reason for it’s existence. It’s simply there so a solo player can see the raids (especially seeing most the time story line progression quests have you killing raid bosses).

This is what catch-up meant before:

“Here you can catch up for this current season with entry level gear”.

This is what catch-up means now:

“Season is nearly over, catch up for next season with heroic ilvl gear”.

So they’re saying season is over with 2 months left to 8.2. That’s how bad state of game is.

First you ruin PvP gearing, then you ruin social aspects with crossrealm/sharding, now you’re killing gearing altogether. This is what’s WoW main selling point, gear progression and social aspect, and that’s what you threw away, and then wonder why people left, and to combat that you go even deeper into giving away free gear, taking away incentives and will for people to improve themselves and earn rewards for their effort.

May as well turn it into mobile game, that’s what it is, log in, do WQs (dailies) and complete emissary, maybe warfront if it’s up.

You can be 410 and still die by being a bad player in a heroic pug. Gear is meaningless when you eat 3 kimbul cleaves in a row or facetank the spin golem on opulence or whatever. Having more people at 400 does not increase your chances of a successful pug

More rolls? There are an “infinite” amount of rolls for 400+ gear every week besides azerite.

Then play a JRPG. You are completely ignoring the first 3 letters of MMORPG. I guess in those games you don’t get handed end game gear for killing mobs you were attacking 20 hours ago though.

While I sort of agree. Emissary rewards only give certain Azerite pieces, many with less than optimal traits. It’s highly unlikely you’ll see someone get BiS traits from Emissary gear alone.

I think more often than not this is just bringing the pieces you can’t get from dungeons etc in line with the gear you can. An example would be whenever you get a fresh max level character. Even if you got carried through mythic plus dungeons all day, you’d be held back by two things. Azerite gear and your neck level. This change addresses the Azerite gear issue while also scaling it to match the typical item level of gear people have.

New raid wont be with new patch most likely anyway. Wasn’t with 8.1 or any of the legion patches. I would be very surprised if season 3 was even in June.

Then just go all the way to 415. Whatever. I mean I can get 415 azerite from TR. Why not? Why not just COMPLETELY screw over the gear progression instead of going halfway?

It’s reasonable to scale the content rewards as the expansion goes on. It would be silly if we were still getting the same item level gear at launch from WQ and Emissaries. What do you think they should use as a basis to judge what item level those rewards should be set to?

LFR was already invalidated for BFD. I did it once and then no point.
