37 % of 120s have Pathfinder part 2

Not a lot. I mostly do the emissaries.

I’m not complaining about the pathfinder thing, I’ll get it when I get it, but I’m not going out of my way to do dailies anymore in this game. I’d rather RP to be frank.

The real bump in my road will be Mechagon since they don’t have emissaries at all and I’ve barely dipped my toe in the area.

I’m in a bit of an odd situation where anything I do in the game, will be challenging mainly due to timezone differences. I don’t really expect to do the content I would like to do until I get back to the US.

What do you need pathfinder for if you aren’t participating in the content it is exclusively useful in? If you only do instanced content flying does not help you AT ALL.

I wonder if pathfinder defenders would hold the same stance if it limited ground mounts as well.

Why does it concern you why people want a mode of transportation? And in order to unlock flying you have to do practically all of the content that flying would improve?

Um, for M+ flying makes getting to the instance much easier.

There is a flight path that takes you to every single instance besides Underrot. Temple has a 30 second walk.

How did you do keys in season 1 and 2?

Could just be the the majority of accounts with 120’s are unsubed atm.

“Ultra-casual” in ten days is a lie.

lol, I still remember when people would swear up and down you could get Legion pathfinder in just a few weeks. And that grind takes longer than BFA pathfinder does. There are always numbskulls on the forums who try to spout this nonsense of pathfinder being a super short thing you get passively when the truth it’s that’s a lie. Blizz never puts in enough story content to unlock pathfinder. You always have to grind the same dailies/wqs week after week to get it.

Realistically an average casual will unlock BFA pathfinder in no less than 1-2 months. Possibly longer if you’re gonna be super casual.

The rest aren’t playing WoW anymore.

People completely miss why pathfinder is bad and say things such as “you just play and it unlocks itself”. This is true, but what they fail to acknowledge is that your only option is to “just play and let it unlock itself” because of time gated rep rewards. There is no such thing as a rep grind in this game anymore because players can’t choose to grind away at rep rewards. Instead, they can only collect their blizzard sanctioned rep allotment for the day before being forced to do something else. That’s why pathfinder, specifically the diplomat achievement required for it, is bad; because collecting rep is now bad, because player agency has been removed from how long it takes to collect rep, because of time gates.

how dare these people being lazy playing a game. how dare these people not make their eyes bleed doing terrible content to gain a form of transportation. what are they thinking?

Yep. Because it does. Not seeing a problem.

Still not seeing the problem.

Also your claim isn’t honest. If you want to maximize your progression on unlocking it you can go out of your way to farm a lot of specific things that give extra rep beyond the base. But that’s totally up to you. If you do that you can unlock flying in 9 days like I did. And I didn’t even know about all the things I could do for rep. I just did the basics each day. I didn’t farm reef walkers. I didn’t do the secret fish each day. I didn’t do the recycler until after they nerfed it so it only gave rep once each day and I still didn’t do it every day then. I didn’t even know about the alternate time blueprint until after Chromie was gone or the extra dailies over there. I could have had flight faster had I known and grinded those things out. Or you can take 2 weeks to a month if you play casually and completely ignore Pathfinder existing.

This reads like you tried to cram as many armchair dev buzzwords into one completely trivial and laughable sentence.

The only thing wrong with pathfinder part 2 is that it’s not available the moment someone hits level 120 and finishes pathfinder part 1. That’s its. Hell, each new area could have an additional pathfinder part to enable flying in those areas and I’d be fine if they allowed us to do it the moment we completed the rest of the content. Sitting there grinding mobs for 5 rep a pop was stupid. If you want that have fun in Classic.

There data is flawed, only takes 1 player on the account to have pathfinder completed, so naturally its gonna skew the numbers.

It also doesn’t account for players who have quit, comeback or just logged in briefly.

Wowhead has it at 46%, Big Whoop.

What i think of current rep grind

That’s a pretty low number when you figure that all characters on an account have it unlocked when one gets it. In other words, one way to interpret the data, is that over 50% of players who played enough to get a character to 120 have quit and not come back even for flying.

Then you are not paying attention.

It did not take you 9 days to unlock flying.

Assuming you played since launch, it took you over 9 months to unlock flying.

Actually, it’s a straightforward sentence, which accurately describes one of the core issues with the way Pathfinder was implemented in BFA.
