Have you consulted your handbook of gamer terms for this definition?
It took less than 2 weeks.
Unless you do professions, or want essences that require rep? Also mounts, toys, cosmetic items?

As long as it takes you about 10 days of no-lifing grinding dungeons every day to achieve, sure.
But then we are going to have people complaining here every day " WHY ARE THESE OVER GEARED PEOPLE RUINING MY HEROIC DUNGEON RUN BY PULLING SO FAST!!!"
People hated over geared people in Legion popping in for the daily heroic.
Wonder if it’s the # of 120s or the account. I have 8 120s and only have part 2 done on one of those.
Yeah because the other 63% quit the game, BFA hasn’t exactly been popular.
What would you call something that takes weeks to complete?
Pretty sure it took more than a year because of part 2.
You got me there. Just because it’s not worth it for me doesn’t make it not worth it for others.
There are ways to counter being overgeared. We know blizzard has ilvl scaling tech. That could be implemented in heroics as just one example.
Maybe not everyone cares about flying and a lot of those people so many of you replied to with your angsty iF yOu dOn’T LiKe fLyInG dOn’T uSe iT actually just didn’t like flying so they didn’t go out of their way to get it lol
I’m three bubbles away from revered I should have flying by Tuesday at the latest. I’m so excited I am so glad for the backpacks I have been enjoying them I might just keep using them in mechagon
Yes, because bringing back rep tabards is the only other solution in the world to the boring system that is place now. Don’t be so one dimensional.
The entire point of heroics is to outgear them and move on to mythic 0.
Not to be forever scaled down to them.
…I am literally going by the suggestions people have offered. Don’t get mad at me.
Bzzt. Incorrect comparison, viewed through the rose colored glasses of nostalgia.
I did BOTH, when they were current content. BFA pathfinder just took me around 2 weeks, doing whatever. It was very easy, as far as rep stuff goes.
The timbermaw rep was insane, though I believe I did it on bm hunter (the holy priest started it, but only my alt BM hunter got to exalted on it.) The timbermaw rep was also gained just doing one inanely boring thing, while at least pathfinder rep is varied.
By Verushka (258 – 1 ·1) on 2006/12/14 (Patch 2.0.1)Total time: a few days; actual time: about a month. Ollitrop’s post is honestly the best way to grind the rep (save the feathers! [and totems!]); when I hit revered, I had to continue to grind for another stack of feathers (which is completely horrible, because then you are just relying on drop rate, which is about 35%). Kill the named mobs as much as possible, even camping them when you know they will be spawning shortly.
My experience was something like that. If you read the later dated comments, you’ll see people mention how much easier it is to raise today.
Pathfinder rep is also what you’d be doing in the game anyway, especially if mainly a soloing player like myself.
It was actually incredibly easy, with some simple strategies that I read about. This is how I sped it up a bit:
OK, a reason to do pet battles. I’ve never really done them before, but having a reason kind of made it a unique thing to do. Researching a few Wowhead comments, discovered the only key pet I did not have was the Unborn Valk which I got in Dragonblight in 3 minutes. Then I just did pet stuff to get the charms to level the key pets up to 25.
Fishing. This wasn’t my main fishing character, my hunter is. This character was the one at 120, though, getting the pathfinder reps. So my skill went from Kul Tiran 35 to Kul Tiran 175 pretty fast (or whatever the max is), trying to fish up the fish in Mechagon for the 250 from that daily.

beeline for that, in Naz. I did not always get that guy’s 300 every day, not knowing how important it was. So I was 5700 into revered with naz, when I hit exalted with Mech (much easier, in mech.) Then I finally had the 3000 with my bodyguard, in naz. Just doing the subsequent Questline Jaina gives, got me all the way to exalted from 5700 or so. I finished her quest line to open up doing the raid, saw a pathfinder two achievement and got a bird mount; This surprised the heck out of me, since I wasn’t watching rep at the time.
If you just play, doing the varied things to help get it, the thing is just not that hard.
So to get pathfinder done all you have to do is simply play content, you find it boring to do what it takes to get pathfinder so why are you still playing? I mean you play for fun but you don’t think playing is fun.
That was also the goal of leveling, and now it’s not. Things can change. That was also only one example.
Especially the queuable kind.
There should be a service the LFD tool gives to players that the system pays a high geared person gold and/or items for carrying lower leveled/geared people through dungeons.
I never suggested that.
My opinion, is that the exploration and zone quest completion achievements are enough. Having players grind the other parts of both pathfinder achievements is nothing more than Blizzard stretching out content in order to keep people chasing the flying carrot.
It is a lazy and completely lacks any kind of creativity on Blizzards part. You can keep defending this too, but by doing this, you are holding the game back from them actually trying to put some darn effort into a better system that players will like.
Pathfinder is probably one of the most divisive systems they have ever put into the game. It is a bandaid fix for Blizzard’s lack of resources or just a lack of time management to put out content that keeps players engaged longer than a few weeks per patch.
They have basically held flying hostage as a perk to boost player engagement.
Also Pathfinder is only actually useful in the content that are the requirements. World content.
You people are still not getting it. It isn’t about the grind, time or effort to get flying. It is about being forced into content that I loath in order to get it.
They basically held flying hostage as a perk to pad time played metrics. To each is own though. Like I told Askton, you just might have a higher tolerance for boring and mundane content.
What do you do?
Maybe there are other parts of the game I enjoy? Pathfinder defenders are so one dimensional in their thinking.
