Up his void zone
I rarely see people on the ground either. I unlocked BFA Pathfinder after 2 and a half weeks of the Ashara patch. A week or so after that is when I really started noticing the change. That big crowd I use to see daily hanging by the flight master on the great seal? Gone. Every WQ is completed by people in flying mounts. I rarely see players coming up to it or leaving it on a ground mount. I’m sure there are players out there going by foot, but they are far surpassed by flyers.
You mean grinds that are actually fun and not boring tedious repeats ? Ofc we will
Those mobs in Natz were tough for me until I leveled my companion Poen up to about 3. Then it wasn’t so bad. But once I unlocked flying I only popped in to that place for the Emissaries and the easy WQ (uncross lines, match colors)
Most people quit before pathfinder 2 and some quit soon after like I did. After I finished it I played about a week and it came to me. All flying did was make it so I could do the things I hate faster. I was flying to the same WQ to kill a guy or help the turtles and that is not gameplay to me.
It perhaps is the easiest daily out there… But I play without warmode.
Back on subject. I was super casual and was only a week behind the others. Naz gives a huge chunk of rep for the pet battles.
In my ideal world, there would be more than just one or another option to grind rep.
That’s how I am viewing it. Just leveling an old alt now to pass time until it drops. Then I can do a grind I actually enjoy.
Classic can’t come fast enough!
Posts on a thread about flying, mentioning classic.
Something seem amiss here…
I came back to wow last week.
I hit pathfinder this past weekend.
My time in Naj and Mecha has dropped drastically to only doing quests that reward manapearls or completing the gold ‘!’ that show up.
After getting flying I can see how poorly Naj’s ground design was.
Since when flight has been a reward? It’s a core part of the game that has been locked behind both a meaningless achievement and time gating.
Buying flight with gold wasn’t a reward it was somewhat of a grind. Pathfinder isn’t different than that in concept, they only thing is, they managed to make it boring.
Took 9 days to get revered with the new reps…
Except that there was a huge time gating in the middle of that, which you seem to have “forgotten” to mention.
If we are going by your logic, buying flight with gold was the exact same thing, you played the game to get the gold to buy the flight that would help you in the game, why was it changed then?
Well, artificial extension of played time is one reason, that’s for sure. The game wasn’t made better with the addition of Pathfinder, I would say it was even made worse. Because now Pathfinder is considered part of the main content of an expansion, which it shouldn’t be. So we get less content overall, not to mention the arbitrary time gating on flight.
How many have flying though? I have 8 at 120 but only one has Pathfinder. I don’t think that’s a valid number given that unlocking it once gives you flight account wide. All 120’s don’t need to have the achievement.
To some extent that would be right, but you gotta keep in mind the arbitrary time gating behind it.
Pathfinder as it is right now only serves to delay flight as much as possible (which is dumb by itself) and to extend the time you have to spend to do things. There’s nothing else to it, the achievement doesn’t prove you actually achieved anything and has a core part of the game locked behind it.
And for me, that exactly the problem, Blizzard has made it so Pathfinder is part of the normal content cycle, which it should not be. Not only was it time gated, but you also have other steps after the time gating is over.
With gold all you had to do is have the amount required and buy it, simple as that. You could make your own pace, it wasn’t determined by the game.
It is per player.
Got it as of Thursday of last week
I am so relived now I can get everything done quicker.
Only 52% have Draenor Pathfinder.
Only 71% have Legion Pathfinder P2.
And by the time it’s over about the same will likely be true for BfA Pathfinder P2.
People who want it will get it, people who don’t won’t. It is working exactly as it was intended. Additionally, there is little grind involved. There may be content you just don’t want to do, but there is no real “grind”.
State what you don’t like doing (the content you don’t like), what you would prefer. They will probably still not listen, but at least they would understand a little better than they do with “OMG the grriiiinnnddd!!!” whining about a non-existent grind.
