3600X OC overtakes 9900K OC in WoW

Ryzen 3600X OC overtakes a 9900K per the user’s testing. Zen2 scales with IF timings and memory subtimings.

In the past others have tested the OC of the 9900K and noticed memory subtimings also push the 9900K but to a lesser degree (Skylake is already efficient). Zen2 scales upwards of 20% in ST performance with only subtimings (synthetics).

The amount of work to get a few more fps in WoW is staggering. The amount of work to get a few more fps from Zen2 is even more staggering. All that work might not be worth it for normal users and most people definitely don’t have the knowledge of either chip to bleed out max perf.

is there any sort of a summary of the results at some point in the video that can be looked at?

I’ve posted a summary of his golden sample 9900K in the other thread you seemed have missed. He’s running a golden sample at 5.2Ghz.

He’s still working on his 3600X so we don’t have a similar pretty graph, you’ll have to watch parts of his work (6+ hours so far). He’s got live footage of the 3600X and points out the tweaked 3600X is running faster than his 9900K as he’s recording his tweaking for the specific scenes he’s played.
