stupid. and if ur poor getting gem slots is another 7500 for each 5000 gem slot. Thats like 6x the amount of time it takes to farm an entire set of gear for crying out loud.
bgs are not fun, they are a joke game mode full of bots and other undesirables.
Just buy the vicious bloodstones from AH and use 5k honor for the honor portion. Much better.
What I hate the most is throwing some Elemental Focusing Lens on an alt but not having enough honor to get the socket on it, and when I do, it can’t be one of the bloodstone meta gems.
I’m literally already gemmed up and I’m a casual 1800 player. If I can do it, anybody can do it. Quit making excuses.
If I didn’t have an addiction to alts I’d probably have more than one gem slot on each of them. Chain some epics with a flask of honor ( until you roll in to the premade time of day ) and it comes quick.
Nah, passive gold from honor owns (I invested in bloodstone when it was 2200g)
+1 9 slots tho so 45k if you want to buy the bloodstones otherwise 112.5k, it’s excessive
idk if there are faster routes thru pve, and I will never know
Full gems are like a couple % increase, it’s SUPER minor and will rarely ever be the reason you win or lose a game.
I’m at 2200 mmr rn on like 3 different classes and I’m not even min/maxing gems/enchants/tier and I don’t think I’ve lost more than 1-2 games that would’ve gone differently if I had full gear/enchants.
S1 didnt feel like such a slog. Midn you I didnt really play alts until last month or so (all honor went to my main gems basically). Agree its a little too expensive
Remove the vicious bloodstones as a currency and just keep them for crafted gear. Buy the sockets for 5000 honor.

Welp, sorry pal, rest of the community and Blizzard disagrees. The gem sockets aren’t going to make a super meaningful difference - a Rank1 player in un-enchanted un-gemmed BG gear is still going to be rank 1 by end of season. You will not meaningfully notice them at all, it is marginal ~1% gear advantage. As you earn them, allow the gems to work as a source of pride and accomplishment instead of complaining that you weren’t handed them all on a silver platter.
BGs are not fun
So don’t play BGs. Queue solo shuffle, 2’s, 3’s, or RBGs. I literally have so much honor that I’m just dumping it back into bloodstones (as I am fully geared already on my main + alt) and pocketing money left and right.

If you haven’t noticed, the amount of stats you actually get from gems is minimal any more compared to what you get from the rest of your gear. Don’t feel like you have to have everything gemmed out completely yet.
Reminder everyone who upgraded their rings/necks on first day got 9 free sockets that the rest of us will have to re-buy. Blizz has still not reverted them to strip this ridiculous exploiting
