For all the crying about the sub cost here and there (which ties into a reason people use tokens) 15 bucks a month is ridiculously good value from a play time perspective. Itâs unlimited so essentially for $15 you get 720 hours (30 days x 24 hrs) each month to play. Break it down by cost per hour thatâs roughly 0.02 cents per hour.

They almost certainly mean some kind of cosmetic gold sink to bait gold out of whales in an effort to lower gold prices.

If Blizz wanted to sell more tokens to makeup for a low sub count. Then they would introduced a new brontosaur type of mount. DF sold less then SL. Thatâs why DF is on sale every other week.
Yeah you can buy 300k gold with a token but there is nothing big to spend it on in game.

got news for you, gold sinks have nothing to do with the cost of a token. Gold sinks is blizzardâs way to reduce the amount of gold in game.
the price of tokens is directly related to the number of tokens actually in game.
how many players have attempted to buy a token from the AH only to get a message âno tokens available at this time, check back laterâ (or similar words) ?
if you want token price to drop. more tokens need to be created by blizzard. simple supply and demand. eco 101.
Whales will produce more tokens if they have a larger desire for gold. Thatâs literally how the brutosaur worked. Whales pay real money for gold from other players to buy items in-game.
Put an auction house and a mailbox on a flying mount and list for 10M.

The Brutosaur is kind of funny to me itâs like an actual freemium economy type of purchase like âwe donât care if this causes trouble for us we need money nowâ.

whales in game do not need tokens to buy a brutosaur mount. they simply use the gold they have acquired from the game and or the AH
since the brutosaur was removed from the merchants and supposedly shows up on the BMAH (has it yet???) the cost will not even be close to 5m gold - therefore anyone using real money to buy that many tokens to just get the brutosaur might need therapy.
Whales donât acquire gold ingame or via the AH they buy gold with real $$$. Thatâs literally how a whale is defined.
1000$ for a mount youâll use for years and years isnât even that bad of a purchase. I wouldnât pay it but I could understand it.
Yep, at the end of BFA the Token was 118k. This was due to people rushing to get the bruto. Thatâs how whaling works. Whales donât buy gold just to have it. Whales want to spend it on stuff. Its Whaling 101.

Yeah I donât know how this is confusing. Itâs very, very simple. Why do people think token prices are DOWN at the start of patches even though thatâs when the highest demand for tokens is? Because itâs also when the absolute highest SUPPLY of tokens is, because people who buy gold with $$$ want to buy crafted gear and enchants and gems and all of that good stuff at the start of the patch.
It is supposed to be spent on carries ran by top guilds. However, most people probably just skip the middle man of a token and just pay cash to whoever is carrying them.
But youâre right. There is nothing in game that I want to spend my millions of gold on. Yes, there are things I can buy but nothing I want to buy.

At the time of this post the WoW token has hit 335,506 Gold 
It dropped a bit from the high it this morning of 330k but its still gaining.

It all comes down to supply and demand. Less tokens on sale in the AH, prices go up. You have dailies that give you over 1k for one kill. Just select the good ones on your map and do them on your alts. Old mats are also good to sell.
The only answer is selling carries and thatâs pretty much it. You just get the gold that somebody else spent $20 for lol. With the region wide auction house for the purpose of buying things its been great but it made making gold basically impossible. If you have somebody willing to help you I mean you can move gold around servers to try and buy things like the Blackrock Bulwark for dirt cheap on one server that doesnât know its true cost and sell it for more on another. Other than that itâs just literally scamming people on the crafting bench hoping they donât notice stuff requires their mats.

You can check every servers AH using this site but other than that the game right now is either buy tokens or carry the guy buying tokens.
