And to add onto this, they just put a sale on character services. So people with an absolute surplus of gold are buying tokens off the AH to convert them to blizzard account balance, in order to get those services essentially for free. Or at least without using actual currency.
The price will prob stay around 300k for the sale. Drop after the sale ends down to 220kish. And stay there till 10.2. Then they will drop to 150-180k ish for the start of 10.2. Then 4 months in it will go back to 220kish.
Actually Blizzard made 5.00 more for each person who purchased tokens to pay for their sub. One would think Blizzard would end the self inflicting injuries.
do you mean this bag with 520g?
Iâm waiting afk for a call to arms with pala and have a chance of 1-4 flasks. they usually go for 1700-1800g because there are too many bots for ah or people who farm ah from morning to night as their main job.
in europe i can even search garbage cans for returnable bottles with my bike. so i have money extremely much faster for 1 month sub⊠(without exaggerating)
well, ever since the endless crying about trade chat (which nobody really uses, btw) they removed Huokan. Now I just pay for my sub with money like a normal person. And when I need gold, i also have to buy a token. I am very happy that i get 300k. i wouldnât mind it being a million lol
Thatâs how it works. You arenât playing for free. Someone else was paying for you. If the guy who bought 3 WoW tokens a month quits, he is quitting 3 other players because he was paying for their sub. Who is selected to quit is up to market economics. The price goes up when thereâs competition to remain in the decreasing number of musical chairs.
Indeed. It is one of the self-correcting mechanisms of this system which works so well.
If Bob bought 3 tokens a month and quit, 3 non-paying players are out to dry. If there are 10 people are fighting over 7 tokens, that drives the price up. If the price goes up, Andy, Charlie, and Dillion may step up to fill that demand by spending their real money and allowing those 3 non-paying players who couldnât grab one of the 7 tokens to keep playing, as long as the non-paying players are willing to give up their gold.
wow token should have been for exclusively for Warcraft , nothing worse than a Diablo expansion driving up the cost for Warcraft players that want nothing to do with their other games.
2 months ago you had Diablo 4, now you have the Call of Duty pre-purchase,
people are dumping gold for tokens for BNET balance to buy the games, hence the price increase now.
It will drop again until a new shiny object comes up on the Blizz store.
In Shadowlands, I can come up with 300k in a month with two toons for 4 hours a day doing Covenants, Korthia, the Maw, and Zereth Mortis. At current prices thatâs not worth the squeeze anymore. I liked it when it was closer on the worse side of 200k because I could produce produce one more Token than just breaking even.
So Iâm letting my goldfarming field lie fallow for now in Retail. Hopefully I wonât have to mortgage my ranch there lol.
