Tell that to people who get legendaries like TF bindings or Eye that need to farm insane amounts of gold to get just the crystals.
Farming for materials is against the spirit of classic? Or farming money is against to spirit of classic…like what?
So instead of an instance cap just make it so you dont gain exp when there are level 60s in the group…seems like an ez fix. Or even someone 8 or more levels higher than the lowest member. Put more strict levels on entering a dungeon. Example why would anyone walk into SM cath at level 20 when you cant even kill any of the mobs outside at level 20.
Sounds like a guild problem. And our wars earned the vast majority of theirs either way. Point is, it’s not like people wont be able to get TF if they cant run 30 instances a day.
No the reason tokens have value is because they pay for a better game, take that ability away and they lose their value. That’s why i mentioned removing wow classic from a token subscription.
Nope. This change will have virtually no impact on botters. They’ll just make more accounts. This hurts actual players. And you’re wrong. Boosting happened ALL THE TIME in Classic. It was as widespread as it is now.
One of the most amazing parts of this game is that it lets us do the parts of the game we want to do for however long we want to do them.
I don’t care what you think is fun in this game, but I’m also not going to praise Blizz if they try to ruin what you like if I don’t care for it. If Blizz eliminated level 1-59 and people said ‘good, levelling isn’t the spirit of Classic it’s all about endgame’ would you be fine with it?
Do you even know what you’re talking about here? 6 hours of dungeons per day or more is ‘least effort’. You’re saying both that people are putting way too much and too little effort into the game in the same complaint.
I don’t think it’s short sighted, but intentional. Obviously want to encourage even more botting accounts because that’s exactly what this will necessitate.
It also doesn’t do a damn thing when it comes to bots out in the world; that’s the big elephant in the room, imo. So many valuable world resources are locked down 24/7 by bots, often on a rotation to circumvent the automatic detection systems in place.
Even if it’s not valuable resources, it’s just natural vendor gold from things like whites and grays in a low-ish area with a decent spawn rate, where they will just mob-farm and vendor.
