30% of players quit WoTLK Classic

I don’t recall people making their own groups for any dungeons after RDF came out. The 3 added dungeons might see some wipes, but groups would pull them off. I AM KRUMTOILET!!!

I Would do them each once a day as heroic was locked to speed clear then if they wanted to farm the sword drop they would go into RDF and if they dont get one of the new 3 dungeons they would simply leave after accepting the queue this that group would get messed up. For alts I would simply boot anyone I didnt want or undergeared people as I wanted to max speed clear and get all the loot, since it was RDF and I wouldnt see them ever again lol

wsg weekend. everyone was leveling in wsg.

had to sell mine and look at a new one lol. I got 3/4 races to battleship 5…I got options.

I was a widow pilot. They changed ECM so…yeah. you jam 3 people, 3 people really want to shoot you lol.

Saw the reason for the change. I had my falcon fun back in the day, ngl. Still not thrilled about it.

thinking ye old sin. the all high cap neutralizer build. that thing drains capacitors like a champ. I’ve been on the wrong end of that one before.

how about the fact there are features they are postponing to later dates. and no i’m not referring to RDF either. but the quest on maps features or being able to have the map on your screen with out it being full screen? or how about fixing basic bugs? i mean all these things can erode player trust in the games cycle. we’ve heard nothing about these features that were part of retail wrath back in the day. but we sure as S*** are getting something that wasn’t in the game in a couple of days. I know it sounds petty to roast them for these kind of things but they legit are pushing crap that wasn’t there above things that were and things that are broke. when ulduar goes live, and we don’t even see movement on this stuff it will look very bad for them. don’t get me wrong the questing features aren’t super important since questie exists and other addon’s take care of the map. but it is nice to know that they are actually taking this seriously and getting things fixed and implemented.

I did/do my waits in SW. When I do my pvp to 70 it had me right there for the pvp vendor at 70 lol. Shopping spree time.

then as the march to 80…fill in rest of brutal/guardian as it came in.

Lol molten core was definitely easier than Naxx. Atleast some fights in Naxx people can accidentally wipe you. Even the bomb in molten core didnt do that.

Dont get me wrong, both are extremely easy but MC is most certainly the easier of the 2

Yeah lets be honest, Naxx becomes quite tedious after a month or so, especially when clearing it in both 10 & 25 each week… I’m not surprised people have dropped off, especially during the holiday season - our realm has dropped over 2k active raiders just in the last few weeks.

This in no means is a sign WOTLK is dead, P1 is just coming to a close… I personally have given DF Chance while our classic guild builds back up numbers for Ulduar - you watch numbers pick back up when Ulduar is announced and all the retail players get bored of DF season 1.

  1. I’d highly disagree that the lack of Quest Helper or resizable map is causing any noticeable change in the population, because those things are fixed by some of the most popular addons in the game.
  2. The quest helper change wasn’t implemented at OG Wrath’s launch. It was 3.2.0 or 3.3.0 if I remember correctly.

Anyways, these complaints I summed up with:

Mostly, that has to do with the fact that the WoW team is stretched very thin and most of their attention has been diverted to Dragonflight for the time being. The people who design and tune the boss fights and other content in the next phase aren’t the same people who are tasked with optimizing code and fixing bugs.

So yeah, this situation is awful, but it’s good to remember how these problems started in the first place. The situation we’re in isn’t because of the WoW team. It’s because Activision Blizzard has decided to massively understaff their games.

Whether Molten Core was easier than Wrath Naxx is debatable, but at the end of the day, Vanilla was just a harder game in general. Or at least, it was hard if you wanted to go fast. Point being, Wrath currently doesn’t pose much of a challenge or hurdle to jump over to get to your goals, whereas hurdles are basically the cornerstone of Vanilla’s design philosophy.

It took less than a day to 1 - 60 in Vanilla with mage dungeon boosts, it took less than a day from fresh 60 to raid geared via GDKPs.

I don’t see the difference.

It tends to take less time when people use exploits to circumvent the intended process of leveling/gearing up. But I think we both know that what’s possible when cheating doesn’t change the fact of what’s normal when playing.

Mage Boosting/GDKPs were core parts of the original Vanilla too, I don’t consider them cheating or exploiting.

Why does this guy look like he smells bad?

His mom should tell him to shower.

Oh definitely. Those hurdles of 15% of your raid not being max level and 75% of the raid being in blues and greens and still downing the content.

Them hurdles tho

The dungeon carry economy never existed in WoW pre-2012 like it does today (or really at all). Dungeon carries existed, but it was mostly from friends, and it was mostly for gear. Never in Vanilla - Wrath could you spend your botter gold on random strangers carrying you through dungeons while keeping your character sitting AFK at an instance portal all day long and hitting 60 in a day.

And I can’t be sure when GDKPs were actually born – What I can say for sure is that they never became popular until at least Wrath or Cataclysm.

And none of this changes the fact that Vanilla was designed from the ground up to be a slower experience that took more time. You’re really not making an argument against that concept. So I don’t know what we’re doing here? :man_shrugging:

Well as it happens, it doesn’t really matter what you don’t consider to be cheating or exploiting, as the devs themselves have deemed them so. :stuck_out_tongue:

Such an underrated comment. Wotlk sucks! Its overhyped, filled with lazy design, feels outdated!

this is where you are wrong. yes there are addons that do the same thing. i acknowledge already. why are you arguing this point. this is now feeling like just another struggle session just to argue over something. the point i am getting at is when they see no information on these things it leads to no confidence in the staff that are implementing these updates. they are going out of their way to push something that wasn’t in the game ahead of features that were. that is my point. how can we hope they even address these features in a timely manner let alone bugs? they’ve done very little in communicating bug fixes that are visibly noticeable in the game as of right now. stop twisting the argument. the argument is we the players see things that were promised to be in the game. are they on ptr? if they are on the ptr i’ll retract what i have said. if the fixes to some of these issues are fixed on ptr i’ll retract what i say in my very next post. if they aren’t we are going into p2 with none of the original wrath features implemented and or bugs that persisted through the prepatch to now. not a good look no argument can be made for that.

no, no excuses none. i don’t want to hear a bunch of bs excuses. they get no excuses. they are making an entirely new system/feature for wrath. they get no passes. if they are able to find time for this new feature. they absolutely have time to get things that were in wrath implemented and the things that are broken fixed. no excuses stop offering them a scape goat. i won’t accept it and neither should you.

let me say it again. no excuses they don’t get a pass. they are implementing something entirely new to this version the game after next it is wrath plus and not wrath classic. anyone saying this isn’t a key system for this expansions release is absolutely lying at this point. this is a key feature to replace RDF. they had to have this ready for p2 but at this point they are sacrificing fixing bugs and implementing things that were in wrath. sorry at this point i give them no room for excuses. if they KNEW this was gonna be an issue they should be A postponing the launch of wrath, or Postponing Ulduar. the fact we likely won’t see these features until p3 and fixes to some of these very inexcusable bugs until p3 is exhausting. when people do come here for legitimate issues we don’t even get a response to hey we hear you and we are looking into it. because they don’t care. and because of that they should be given ZERO wiggle room in this. their feet need to be held to the fire. their lack of communication on any of these issues is absolutely unforgiveable. ya know i used to trash on bungie about their communication to their players but my god they are saints by comparison to blizzard. how long would you even give them oh well new xpac they gotta focus on that. mean while wrath is on fire. yeah keep giving them a pass. see how long that goes over with. announcement time hey cata classic. we’re finally gonna implement these feature we promised in wrath with their upgraded feature sets!!! they deserve to be turned into a burnt steak for every week these things aren’t fixed or address. they are doing the ostrich bs like they’ve they tried to pull in BFA and SL. they were successful to a point with it in Legion. don’t give them a pass.

WOTLK isn’t Classic.
