30% of players quit WoTLK Classic

People will be back for the new content. A lot of us are bored of Naxx since it was farmed for 6 months only a couple years ago.

classic andys dont understand this. 99.99% of people do not want their time wasted, and having to manually form parties is a complete waste of time when there isnt a big enough pool of players actively trying to do dungeons too.

while the part about people logging in less from naxx burnout is true, normally what would happen is theyd go level an alt instead. thats not happening because theres no RDF in the game. so theyre losing all the players that would normally be active in the day due to the leveling experience being absolutely horrendously terrible in this game. AV weekend already proved that the vast majority of players want to level, and are so desperate to level that theyll literally no life the game for 2 days to avoid having to go through the games default leveling experience. If that isnt a red flag that blizz should be paying attention to, then they really and truly do not care about wraith classic at all and its completely on maintenance mode

Where is your data to back all of these absolutely wild claims? The graph only shows less raid logs, it doesn’t even accurately show number of players raiding, let alone people playing or leveling alts.

Eyes name* star wars reference and gnome be short reference? Bravo sir.

Pffft. That’s just completely and totally absurd. Like I said… the entirety of relevant Wrath raiding atm can be knocked out in under 3 hours per week. Suggesting that’s “just asking players to invest too much time into raiding” is one of the top 5 most ridiculous things I’ve seen on these forums. Just completely and total nonsense rofl…

Wrath Naxx is 1000% easier thasn MC. People actually had to progress through MC. Not every guild, and not for long… but it wasn’t like every guild walked into MC day one and knocked it out.

I never even heard of a guild having to progress in Naxx… not even for a day. It’s been completely faceroll from day 1…

Even the trash was harder. I saw groups in P2/3 wipe on dog packs by the hallway leading to Shazz because they pulled too much and got pats on them. I think I’ve wiped in Naxx TOTAL less than 5 times and never on trash…

Did You play original wrath before 3.3.5? It was pretty much the same but different balancing of classes and some quests not working? RDF came with ICC and mostly helped the very late players and didnt help the 3 new dungeons as people mostly created their own groups and mostly used RDF to farm the 3 new dungeons or dodge queue if they didnt get them lol.

I had quit wow in vanilla. Came back for wraith and RDF was in the game. Everyone was running the ice crown dungeons regularly. I had them on farm status to gear up. In fact the entire RDF experience was amazing for me. I could play the game around the clock with no luls in gameplay. The reality check I got was when I tried to raid as a prot paladin and couldnt get a single tanking spot. My character was virtually useless, so I had to reroll as a dps

I do think the icecrown dungeons will be dead on arrival here though. They shouldve released them with phase 1. Why would anyone need trash heroic gear by the time it comes out. Most people will be gearing up to quit the game by then
ps.
the fact that blizzard cant even fix the bug in the forums that makes the quote your replying to disappear just tells you everything you need to know about this bum of a company

So you didnt level when wrath came out? RDF wasnt in when wrath launched so as far as continuity goes that its correct to not have it during this time.

Before your paper argument of “This wasnt in the game either”.

  1. 2 wrongs dont make a right
  2. They can take everything that wasnt in wrath on launch and take it away as I would rather it be closer to original experience as possible.

I want the old wrath experience not some weird sudo retail experience with easy old raids as I can simply go farm the old raids in retail if I wanted and even stop leveling to do those raids at those levels with people lol.

The game also had 12 million subscribers playing back then, so content was more active. You cant even try to compare real wraith to this abomination with a sliver of a fraction of the population. This is not the real experience in anyway. Were missing half the features that were in the real game by now, were using the wrong class balances, and theres bugs that never existed that they refuse to fix

Link sub numbers proving the current population? either way comparing a remake to the original is silly for player numbers lol Lets go see the player numbers of the switch relaunching super mario world. Weird those numbers would be lower as well lol.

its not even remotely silly and your pathetic attempt to derail and strawman is just pathetic. its literally the reason people are demanding RDF be put in this dying game right now instead of waiting until the death of the expansion when people are leaving in droves because they killed the lich king and theres nothing to look forward to after. Were paying 15 dollars a month for a game and most of the game is dead and inaccessible due to lack of players

I just cant get into it. Cheap shot still sounds weird and my character has an annoying bounce to his step as if I rolled Panda but i didnt. Cant do it.

every recent expansion has a lul in the middle where players drop off. If your expecting the mass players who joined based on wrath launch to stay then that is kinda silly to expect 100% retention. comparing it to original wrath when gaming was at a different time 2008. There has been 15 years worth of changes to the gaming industry to account for. If you really believe RDF would have fixed the retention then I have some crypto that I would like to sell ya. I promise no rugs.

To be fair, I think your average Classic server is bigger than your average OG server because there are far fewer of them. But also your average player today just plays far less than they did back then, because there is just way more competition.

This was confirmed by Blizz on Classic where low/med pop servers where equal or larger then high pop originally. I don’t have the exact quote on me. Old servers till they upgraded the servers were at max capacity was around 2500 concurrent players at one time. This was also expanded upon by Elysium devs as they had the old code which had that info.

I don’t get to play much but I did log in on the weekend and there was loads and loads of people in dal… yes they were standing around doing nothing but there was still lots of people logged into the game

That’s kind of the problem with this phase. After your 25 man lockout per week and maybe a 10 man if you’re really bored… there’s just not really much worth doing.

This is very true. Yes overall numbers are much lower than original Wrath. But per server they are significantly higher, because the population isn’t spread across like 250-300+ servers.

Is this unwashed attic squatter really one of the people Blizzard developers are listening to? Why on earth would anyone listen to some fool that can’t wash their hair and wears a shirt with a pizza grease stain on it while broadcasting publicly? I wouldn’t trust that guy to be a crossing guard at an elementary school let alone allowing them to dictate changes in my flagship MMO. Heads need to roll at Blizzard management if this is whom they chose to listen to when iterating on wotlk.
