30 BOTS all running a pattern - NEED BETTER POLICING!

Was over 30 actually, all running a script, all Boomkin, instantly killing any MOB that spawned… all running the same patterns.

I always see them in masse on Saturdays…

Southern tip of Spires of Arak.

Reported every one and there was an entire guild of 20 there also reporting.

Really getting tiresome. Couldn’t even finish 3 of my quests, just gave up and logged.

You did what you could. Just have to quest somewhere else. We’re the police, because Blizz doesn’t sit around every server and every shard looking for bots. They will take care of it. Make sure you’re doing the right click name and report for cheating. I’ve had two weeks in a row now where I got emails saying they took action.

It’s all we can really do. I’m not sure why they’re so prevalent nowadays. I’m sorry it ruined your questing.

Thanks… I don’t know why it bothers me so much but it does… argh

The broadcast software change didn’t make a difference in the number of bots.

Why are we in charge of security? We are the players not the cops.

Why should we be in charge of security? It’s is Blizzards job not us.

I might just be a cynic now, but do we really know they take action? I got those mails too, and I want to believe it, but there are still SO MANY bots.

I wish they would give us a way to just kill them in game. Maybe once you drop your 500th hyperspawn you flag universal pvp… one can dream.

Because they’re not going to hire a bunch of people to be on every shard, every zone, every server, every area of every zone, 24/7. Let’s be logical here.

The bots I reported never showed back up in those places. :woman_shrugging:t4:

They need to deactivate hyperspawns except for quest mobs.

because blizzard fired the majority of their gm and support staff a few years back, and never bothered to rehire any despite posting record profits, because $$$$.

It will continue so long as players continue to pay subscription fees for this subpar service.

I would think they could set alerts to keep a very small team focused on the problem. “He just looted his 10,000th raptor bone since logging in 90 hours ago” He goes on a list and they click over the take a peek. I think something like that could work and Blizzards staff can probably come up with better solutions than I can.

There is a flaw in that logic what if it is a actual player farming?

How will they know if the character is controlled by a script or a actual person?

Literally the most basic of automated flags could be set up to trigger from this type of behavior. The fact that they havent and rely on manual reports from players is obscene. I see the same druids running the same patterns in the same areas for days at a time.

You know this how? Could easily be someone using a kvm.

Report and move on, let Blizzard determine who is and who isn’t a bot.

I reported a bunch of boomkin bots the other day and got an in-game mail saying they took action. Keep reporting them, it works.

idk, ive reported the same bastion hyperspawn druids multiple times over the past few weeks. they’re not only still there, they’re multiplying.

Those are the ones I reported as well and they’re gone… for now.

No I meant in Bastion, I know the spot you’re talking about.

Well, Quantity.
If your killing anything for over 24 hours on repeat without a break that’s a red flag.

And It’s not hard to check and see what it is. GM takes a peek and sees 20 lazerchickens running in a path its most likely a bot farm and not 20 amazingly coordinated and coreographed moonkin with amazing stamina keeping a hyperspawn going.
