To all, I still suffer from the 3 second casts. Prismatic bolt is the worst affected. My arcane dps because of this is garbage unless I win the rng lottery on 5+ mobs with CC, and even then, my dps pales in comparison to other classes that were supposed to A-TIER, at best.
I put in bly bug reports, and customer service requests, and while bly did reply back to the support request, it amounted to nothing.
I did find other posts of people reporting similar casting issues some years ago, but nothing followed with how their issues got fixed, if ever.
Today I do SS/Frostfire build, with only 1 point into the Apex talents, so at least, my aoe dmg is good enough for heroic raids, and mythics where I provide the key.
Things I know that are NOT causing the issue:
- Lag
- Gear
- Any buff or debuff, including any hidden buff/debuff unless it is for certain spells.
- Character. I am able to reproduce tgev3 second casting issues on an alt.
- Tgt.
- Computer. I can cast other spells like glacial spike and see haste properly reducing cast time on the same computer.
When others reported similar issues, there were about 3 other posts, two about 2 years ago, and so far, no follow threads/posts as what happened, but the expectation is bly fixed it.

If I learn anything, I’ll come back and share. Fortunately, the Mythics with my own keys and the new Labyrinth delve give me means to get mythic gear, so I do not need to prostrate myself in mythic raids.
