doubt you want input from a resto dudu but I wanted to add my 2c: the issue isnt in the class or the meta. the issue is in the great vault. because blizz removed coins and reduced gear drops everyone now wants to optimize their vault. to optimize your vault it means you gotta get 10 keys done at the highest key lvl you can do (for me that is currently 9s, for you 14/15s?). so now we have to play 10hrs of dungeons every week for loot we likely already have. same as in bfa - except now its 10 times as much playing as before. and it feels bad. so when you are making a key you think about what class you had best experience with on average. and I’m sad to say (because my friend used to be an epic priest) that the average priest is worst than the average druid. and yes I know that by saying this im telling you that when you are puging you are not an individual but a class. sad, right? but its blizz’s fault for effing up the system… and not the players that live in it.
Hello. I read your first message and a few others. I will try and be the optimist of this post. As a priest, (specifically SPS) I haven’t had any issues getting groups and have almost exclusively pugged keystone conqueror. My suggestions to you are as follows:
*Have you downloaded Raider IO? I know this seems like an annoyance, but, if you haven’t you can gauge where you will be invited to groups (despite gear) on IO thresholds. It’s an annoying process, but, this may be part of your concerns.
(IE: to get into most 14+'s you need minimum 950, most groups want 1000+ IO) if you don’t hit that most won’t look at you (sadly).
*When joining groups it may be a good idea to parse your data so if people search you they know your damage numbers. Also, if you ever get into a “super group” add those people and play with them again.
*Mostly M+ at this point all depends on what your motivation is. The higher the keys, the less people are motivated by gear (due to the IL’s that drop compared to H CN/M) and the more they value IO. But, people will consider a higher IO with less gear/spec over someone with low IO and gear. IO should in theory prove “mastery of dungeon mechanics” Its a round-about system but sadly it’s what we have to deal with.
Hopefully this helps. The issue I’ve run into is less a class issue it’s a community issue (IO). But, if M+ is what you want to do you can form your play around this. I know with lack of gear it may seem tedious to push that 1-more 10 for IO to get into 11’s but it will make a difference.
Cheers and hope this helps.
What’s your point? Your Raider IO places you ~350 on your realm/faction. The same IO score for an spriest would put them at ~50.
See the difference on how easy it is to get KSM on a meta class than an spriest? Kind of proves the OP’s point which I agree with.
