3 Hours is NOT enough time to try out a class

Class Trials need to be way longer than 3 hours. With the new gimmicks and buttons added to classes in Shadowlands, you need much longer to truly get a feel. At least 24 hours but honestly more like 3 days.

3 hours for a class trial is a total joke. Maybe if we were back in Legion where classes were oversimplified. But not now, where they’re both simple and complicated/tedious at the same time.

It’s almost as if it’s a trial and not a full fledged experience.

All jokes aside I get what you’re saying but it could honestly take weeks for some people to really understand a class.

I disagree with this.

The trial time is fine. If you want 3 days you might as well create a character at that point.

I can figure out if I like a chr’s playstyle or not in about 15mins. World of Warcraft isn’t that complicated in its chr classes. Build-and-spend, combo points … you know what you’re playing in 15mins and if you’re going to like it.

So 3 hours is MOOOOORRREEEE than enough time.

As @columbo said, if you feel you need more time, we are given FIFTY chr slots to try things out. As if 3 hours wasn’t generous enough, being able to make FIFTY chrs is all you need to experiment to your hearts content.

And, the sad reality you simply have to accept is that trial chrs are used to abuse/circumvent game mechanics. Maybe that’s not your angle, but… this is why we can’t have nice things. Other people don’t care about “playing” the game, they just want to EXPLOIT. That’s how they have fun. And so, elements of the game have to be designed to close those loopholes. Don’t blame Blizzard, blame “people.”

3 hours?? like 1 hour or less is more than enough .

They need to make it so that a trial account has to level at least to 35 to have /2 Trade chat privileges and forum privileges.

Also…it would give the player more time to see if they want to continue into the other expansions of the game.

So, yeah. Trial account needs to extend to level 35.

Why, exactly?

I’m on year 4 and by no means really fully understand my class… especially when you listen to a pro talk about them.

it used to be longer but they reduced it for reasons - 3 hours given you can’t even enter instances is plenty.

because they want to play for free

Although there is truth to that, no matter how long it is, it’s going to run out.

Rather, I’m sure what their angle is: they want to run some content in the 35+ bracket. And like I already said, that will NEVER be allowed for obvious reasons.

Obvious, except for the people that ignore the fact they’re exploiting. But nothing I say will get people to admit to that.

I mean, I’m fine to let you “try out” such and such dungeon/raid in the 35+ bracket… if you agree ABSOLUTELY ZERO LOOT can drop/ no progression can be made.

Oh hey, now all of a sudden “seeing if I like how this chr plays” isn’t important at all. Go figure.

You’re right. I’m a slow learner and 3 days would be better.

Mostly I just try the trial, then play normal for awhile. If I like it it I get addicted to I have it down pat. Or delete character when I feel like messing with another race/class combo. Doesn’t really matter in the end.

there are people who have been playing for free for years prior to the level squish - not sure about after. they gear up their characters and twink bgs

Are you only allowed to trial a class once? Can you reroll a new one and get another 3 hours?

And why wouldn’t you create a character, it’s not like they cost you anything.

Yeah this is so true. Every time I think I’m getting good I watch a video of some elite player and I’m just like… what.

I wish when you tried out a class you were not forced into a scenario, I would like to see how the character runs in the real game.

I would be okay with the three hours, if I had more of an option on what I was doing in it, so that I could see if the class handles well with my style of game play.

3 hours is fine. Tbh… 30 min is enough to smack a target dummy for a while.

You can hearth as soon as you make them, you don’t have to do any of the scenario.

I wish they would include a little more time but I see why they do it
Although I do feel like the fox  here with the zoomies

3 hours is plenty. The problem I have is that they only let you try one spec that they pick for you. And it’s usually not the spec I want to try. I think that’s because this is for new, inexperienced players and they want to choose something for them.
