IT’s dumb fomo bs.
Honestly it would’ve been fine if every tier got it? But now it’s just… nasty. They can’t even make it right now. If they give it everyone- it’s junky for the people who ordered the expensive pack solely for that.

I genuinely don’t understand why people are so up in arms over getting access to an expansion 3 days early.
Free game time, so take off $15 from that price. a free mount so take off $25 from that price. a boost, so take off $60 from that price. It’s a good deal.
Because some of us don’t just silently accept corporate greed and BS.
We understand that using psychological manipulation via FOMO to make a lot of extra money by getting more people to buy the overpriced epic pack is a dirty tactic that we shouldn’t encourage.
The cosmetics are not worth anything at all to many people. The boost isn’t either. Many of us already have 10+ 70s. Many others don’t play a lot of alts. So that’s $0 in value for many players making the early access $25.
Not to be a troll, but that’s literally capitalism.
And people fight back against excessive greed across many industries every day. Sometimes they succeed.
" Because some of us don’t just silently accept corporate greed and BS." Oh, please, we accept it every single day of our lives. EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. Please Stop. That’s a foolish comment.
Are you 16 years old? I think you need a reality check.
I look forward to your support in our shift from a capitalist society to a socialist one, comrade.
Yea, nobody ever does anything about it. It’s not like there were just major strikes across several industries recently.
Oh wait, it’s you who made
If you can’t understand why people pushback against this sort of thing, take your own advice cupcake.
I was gonna say you should go play on Proudmoore, you’d fit right in, then I saw you already do, and everything makes complete sense now
No, and I shouldn’t judge you. But you just sound like a child. So full of idealism.
Sounds like veiled bigotry, but I actually play on Illidan.
Not surprised you came back with another useless post though.
Bigotry? Not so much. It’s just filled with people like you who think they’re going to stick to the capitalist man and create some new utopic society by standing against “corporate greed”, but in reality your ideas are half-baked at best and downright awful at worst. Kinda like the California of WoW realms.
At this point I’ll just tell you none of my responses to you are going to be “useful” because talking to you is like talking to a brick wall. Your ego is massively inflated, you think you’re the smartest person in the room even though it’s clear you’re not, and you can’t possibly be told you’re wrong because you refuse to budge. So why would I waste time forming “useful” replies?
I didn’t realize asking a company to not change a 20 year precedent was that crazy of an idea.
That’s kind of ironic that you’re trying to topple capitalism in America but you’re staunchly against a little bit of change in a video game
I mean, I’m all for expansions coming out faster. That means more class reworks until they get my DoT specs to actually and functionally be just that, DoT specs, just like Aff was in Wrath, MoP, WoD and the favorite of all: Legion.
I don’t think that’s a good idea for many people, though, having faster expansions unless people are just gonna buy the regular game and not the upper tiers. Many people can’t even justify spending 60 bucks on an expansion half the time, let alone 90 or so on higher tiers and happening even faster.
They’re doomers who believe it’ll ruin the game. Nothing more, nothing less, usually.
I don’t actually understand how it’s fomo to the majority of players, though. Literally less than 1% of the entire playerbase will actually be affected by this. Are you thinking that the other 99% of the playerbase is just reacting to the FOMO given by the 1%? If so, you guys all need to grow up and become adults over babies.
Nonetheless, though, again there’s nothing to it besides leveling up and/or doing baseline professions like herbing/skinning/mining away from the 90% of the playerbase.
That’s all you get with this, nothing more. They restricted access to dungeons, to end game content, to systems, you can’t even do dailies, per their QnA. Like, every system outside of the profession system, will be full on locked once you hit max level.
So you might be able to get 3-5 toons to 80 or whatever level cap it becomes once the expansion comes out, which I’m assuming it will actually be 80. You might be able to do that in the time your friends, who didn’t do it, get 1 toon to max level. No big deal, as most of this game is actually in the end game content and there isn’t anything with the end game content that you can actually do. Dungeons, raids, nothing. They’re all locked. I do hope you guys also get mad about patch day coming out and then season starts being 1 week after a new patch launches, cause if not that’s pretty hypocritical, too.
You mean the change towards excessive greed as they’ve continued to release more and more awful business model changes in DI and OW2 especially?
Well if they make the company money they’re actually great business model changes aren’t they
There’s gonna be more than 1% upset that they can’t play the xpac for 3 days while other people can. That may not be a permanent effect but it’s something and it’s not good.
