Expert of what? Something completely unrelated to World of Warcraft and trying to pass that off as you simply being right just because you claim to be an expert?
I suppose if that’s what makes you feel better. I don’t know what your background is, but WoW has always been like this for 20 odd years and here we are, 20 years later and nothing’s changed, no one’s gotten the axe. WoW is doing just fine.

Compensation should really be considered. It’s getting out of hand. Or they need to plan for the worst instead of dragging the playerbase along. Cringe.
People seriously need to pull themselves together or quit WoW if maintenance - even if it goes on longer than usual to fix issues - instills such anger and despair. I used to find these types of threads mildly amusing but now I’m legit concerned about some of you.
I don’t wanna be treated like an escort… have someone abuse me and throw change in my face because they feel bad.

they just gave everyone a full day a few weeks ago, or did you happen to just forget that?

You’re one of those people who argue to argue. You just go on forums and troll people. I’m a professional DevOps Engineer and understand what is acceptable and unacceptable downtime windows. Also, you can do a brief google search to see what is acceptable for triple A games. Using blizzards poor performance in the past to justify their current performance as not being poor is just embarrasing reasoning that probably shouldn’t be written down for other people to see. I’m not saying wow is doing bad as a product, I’m saying wow is doing great despite their availability and reliability issues.

Did I? I never put my name or initials anywhere. so I never signed /any/ contract. That’s just incorrect. I /did/ agree to a ToS. Now i didn’t read it like 90% of people so MAYBE you are right and extended outages are mentioned in there and i am not entitled. but I don’t believe I ever said I WAS entitled. You asked what compensation I believe we should receive and I answered.
My entire point was a /decent/ company would do something for their players to compensate for inconveniencing them beyond the normal with 1 hour per week being normal. Most of the companies do not only compensate for the inconvenience, which isn’t entitled, by events or gifts along with explanations. Blizzard does none of the above which is part of the reason it constantly bleeds fans and active subs. I believe if you were to check the most common complaint even acknowledged by blizzard themselves is that fans wish they were more open and communicative in which more often than not blizzard promises from this point forward to be more open and communicative and then does nothing different.

No compensation. You agreed to knowing this would happen when you signed the TOS. It’s part of the package. Blizz owes no one nothing. If someone doesn’t know how a game like this operates that’s on them. Play another game. Downtime comes with the service. Read your TOS…

I want to believe that they are giving us an option to revert back to old character select by realm screen. I don’t believe it though
