After being primarily a PvPer over PvEer since OG TBC right through until BFA and classic TBC (usually around rival/duelist range), I have been queueing some 2v2 on holy paladin and omg some matches are never-ending.
Now maybe at the top end, with perfect timing etc games can end faster, but I have had at least 10 30+ min games, usually against other hpal teams because neither team can die. I love PvP and am already sick of this rubbish so I am sure this will hurt casual participation in arena.
I know dampening would help this (although not like Blizzard would listen anyway) so I am interested in other people’s thoughts.
[I am also aware that perhaps this isn’t an issue others are facing but since it seems so common for me I thought I would put it out there and see.]
Its tough because dampening sucks, due to some teams playing around dampening. But infinite duration games also suck.
They can add a time limit. But draws arent very fun either. For a short while when they first added a time limit they had the team with the most dmg dealt win, but then people just played around that.
Idk its hard to come up with a balanced way to have shorter matches. I had a 38 minute 2s match last night
No, this is what hpal/xx comps risk by running a strong comp where the healer can’t die to 1 dps. You get to cruise to challenger and then you have to face yourself and realize why you’re clapping everyone besides priest/rogue. Hopefully it motivates hpal/warriors to play more 3s instead.
