In the past two weeks, rating in 2s has become so hard/weird. I lost 18pts for 1 lost round, then three wins in a row with no pots increase at all. The median value of rating increase for win was +4 to me. Sometimes/rarely +9 sometimes unchanged for wins.
3s and solo Q were no way like this.
All the games I played were with players with similar mmr or ratings, not in huge gap.
Am I missing something?
Its bad during the day but if you play at night us time, 99% of the RSS games you play will be an RMT 3rd party website Boosting group. They openly do it, and blizz does nothing about it.
the team game is very deflated right now, especially so in 2s. 2s has(to my memory) always had lower ladder caps than 3s historically, but especially with solo shuffle stealing all of the casual games-played inflation you are basically only going to fight people that are trying to push 2s rating or just love coordinated 2v2 arenas. unlike other seasons, none of the people you fight are gonna be capping, none of them are trying to hit a rating to upgrade gear, and none of them are trying to earn an elite mog.
it sounds like you’re hitting the max rating your skill can maintain and even lucking a bit above it at points, but the number of that max has been pared wayyy down by this season’s ladder drought. don’t let it demoralize you, and if the lack of comp variety gets you down consider trying to bridge into 3s where there’s a lot more matchup diversity
I actually won more than loss. Encountering pro isn’t my complaint. My complaint is, at a 4:1 win rate, I still can’t even break even. And this just happened two weeks ago. It seems Blizz “adjusted” its algorithm again?
Lucky we don’t let these blizz staff run Fed reserve.
If you have a 4:1 ratio youd be Well over 2k rating
2v2s at 1200cr is nothing but Gladiators working for real money and websites boosting toons. At low ratings you are facing people who play wow as a full time job.

Because you are or were playing with a lower rated teammate.
not really. my teammate got higher exp than me. Our mmr is on par with all the opponent teams. No big gap.
Similar question why is my team mate getting +18 a win and I’m getting +12 when the difference in our rating is ~30 points and I’m the lower one? Then when we lose a game and he loses -10 but I lose -18 seems weird man.
let me know you can get +18 in a win, not +4. I will be back for it.
ALL brackets are hard because its a few random players vs R1s and Gladiators working for 3rd party websites selling ratings for cash. And streamers too, but its called coaching, donate x mount to their channel, and they will coach you to the desired rating.
