ok, i kept reading that it was back or planned back and wasnt sure if it ended up making it. thanks guys

With how our Mastery and such works, 2h Enhancement is not viable, though would be cool if it was an option like SMF.

What about elemental? Are 2h eles viable?

I wish it was. The Cataclysm era Giga Bonk 5000 instakill was the most hilarious thing in all of WoW.

Nope, at least not in the past decade and then some.

dang. that’s okay. I think there’s just something about it from a class fantasy thing that makes it epic and yes getting a cool proc would be fun especially with doom wind  lots and lots of posts from 2022 said 'enh 2H is back so i assumed it was but thats okay I will just enjoy it here. thanks all

Last time I remember using 2H enh and actually being effective, was in MoP for PvP. No, not in arenas or anything…just enjoyed random BGs.

Come to think of it, MoP was the last expansion I actually enjoyed PvP to any extent as well. Don’t think these two things are closely related, but they are indeed related.

Man, I’m getting too nostalgic now… T_T

No.

Tank spec. I have a shield somewhere.

Blizz really needs to do more to bring back character fantasy stuff like this. The strongest class fantasy for Shaman is Thrall with Doomhammer, but in WoW all you get is dual wield only and annoying totem spamming.

I loved enchantment shaman in Vanilla.

I mean, technically SMF isn’t viable either, last time I checked.

Last I checked, it was something like a 10% dps loss over Titan’s Grip.

frost dk has might of the frozen wastes too or whatever it’s called that lets them 2h. i think they don’t have to spend talent points on it anymore too but i’m not sure. is that more viable than smf? i dunno

i think it sucks that smf isn’t a built in thing and i have to spend talent points on it and also that it sucks lol

Thing is I never remember Thrall using a 2 hander, so from a class fantasy kind of ehhh.
And I used to 2 hand on my shammy in BC lol

I think shaman should be able to mog their dual wielded weapons into two-handers.

Adding actual two handers would just complicate balance, but at the end of the day, people just want the look of a 2h.

I think it depends on the weapon, though I’ve seen more Elemental using staves.

I know, but I was trying to say that they should make it an option for us much like how SMF is.

Though I do wish SMF WAS viable so my goblin warrior can be a PUNCH WARRIOR.

The last 2h (One shot with Windfury) Shaman was in MOP with the Sunlute 2h Axe.
During this era Shaman still benefited from Strength stat (1 Str - 1 Attack power) in which a Twinked 85,89 Shaman could drop end game players (90s) with a lucky proc.
Shortly after we lost our Windfury use without dual wield 1h weapons, also Strength did not give any Attack power anymore.

Moving along to BFA iirc there was a BC set Bonus which actually activated with a 2h equipped. Removed in a patch.

Now in Shadowlands there was a possible build by using a 2h Staff which did not work with Windfury but did give us a meaty (one shot) Elemental Blast which is stronger than the dual Wield version. Weapon modifiers.
This last mention would be worth testing currently.

I’ve always thought of Doomhammer as a two handed weapon. Sure, Thrall wields it in one hand when he is walking around in caster mode during gameplay in Warcraft 3… but go back and watch him fight with it in the Grom/Mannoroth cinematic. He holds it two handed.

Either way, one thing is certain, he was never dual wielding anything.
