So the 30 percent buff or whatever they did to naxx seems a little over tuned on patchwerk. He was hateful striking fully geared tanks for 35k outside of defensive cds, which is a raid buffed entire health pool basically.
Anyone else witness this last night?
Granted this was a pug, but it was actually ridiculous. I’m sure with the proper gems enchants consumables buffs and debuffs it could’ve been done, but come on now… Lol
i just think that the blanket 30% increase to health and damage was poorly thought out, Thaddius for example already has so much health due to his polarity debuff he gives out to everyone that increases our damage, so just giving him even more health was a pain to deal with before he enraged
But uhh… I’m still trying to figure out how to logically kill patch werk as a 25 man pug. Someone that’s done it enlighten me. We tried with 2 3 and 4 tanks, the tanks start dropping like flies as soon as he is pulled. Lol
You can mitigate it… you arent at the defense and other caps your tanks need to be at. They arent consuming and hitting the thresholds needed to mitigate the damage.
Tanks were defense capped obviously. If you need to be avoidance capped that’s absurd. None of the tanks were getting CRIT or crushed. Just 35k normal hatefuls…
Adding more tanks is a bad move you ar enjoy lowering your dps and gaining nothing. If those 2nd or 3rd tabk can’t survive and the 4th can just use the 4th and ditch the one dieing. As you need to survive all the fight or none as a tank a tank death is not acceptable on that fight ever.
All your doing is lower raid dps without gaining anything. You are better of to add healers than add tanks. If your tanks are dieing in one hit you need to make sure full debuffs are in the boss and make sure all buffs are on the tanks this includes them being def cap many tanks in prebis won’t be which is why the fire few tier often goes to tanks to get them def cap and you do spider first for example. Which they need to be using 40 stam food flask and a armor pot. They pre pop one pot and pot another 2 min in to cover 4 of the 7 min you really should be killing around 5-6 min so that covers almost all the fight.
Past 4 min the tanks will be poping def cds for the enrage.
If people are not using consumes that’s a large part of the issue.
35k hits is high this tellls me for a fact you do not have full debuffs on boss and or your tanks are not using armor pots both reduce that a fair bit. Looking at our logs 25-28k was the range. Which is fully manageable give. All healers pump only three tanks one beacon on each ot with the hpallys spamming mt druid rolls hots on all three and the other healers you spilt between the offtanks of 5 healing of 6 the 6 is on the mt.
