A long quest chain for a recipe to make Student Fodder would be cool though. As long as you meet the cooking level requirement.

How about just extend the 50% XP Buff to 40 for Alts after getting at least one to 40?

This isn’t constructive. This is a solution to a problem many players are facing who lead busy lives. I would much rather pay a couple bucks to ease the pain and get to what really matters which is endgame content. This solution doesn’t hurt you. You can just not buy the buff and level normally. Again as I stated in my post this is a seasonal game mode, so why not make it easier and fun for everyone. Also, love how you didn’t even post a counter solution just “go back to retail”. This game needs to be made more accessible or it will die off. We already see a huge healing shortage. This will help because more alts will be created which means more people doing endgame content.

I’m honestly fed up with people dismissing the suggestion for a leveling XP buff as “pay to win.” It’s not like we’re suggesting handing out end-game gear for cash here. Look at games like Wrath of the Lich King Classic—they’ve got a permanent XP boost and even offer max level characters for purchase in the shop. And guess what? Their player base is thriving! It’s high time we start recognizing that convenience features like this are just that—convenient. They don’t break the game or make it unfair; they simply make it more accessible to players with different time constraints. It’s about time we embrace progress and stop clinging to outdated notions of what constitutes fair gameplay.

putting a boost in the shop would just enable players who don’t know their class because they haven’t leveled and used all of their abilities to be carried through raids so that they can complain about how little content there is and cry about losing in pvp. hard pass

part of the game is learning how your abilities and class plays through leveling, anything that speeds that up takes away from the process. take your time, play the game

No where in my post did I say there should be an instant 40 boost. I just stated there should be means of people with more time constraints to be able to successfully and happily play the game without the slog leveling up to 40. Even with a 50% buff or even the 200% XP increase with fodder (only mobs – not quest) would still require 10s of hours to level up and I am pretty sure most people will know how to play there class in that time. Leveling up in classic isn’t fun and it isn’t some badge of honor. It’s just a time waster so blizzard can milk more sub money out of you while you slog through it. Would much rather get milked honestly in the shop than this illusion that leveling is important.

It’s only been a couple of weeks into the phase. 25-40 isn’t that hard to do. Yes, it is a longer grind than 1-25, but you can literally get a 3% buff 24/7 and the food gives you about 2 levels worth of experience. If you use your food buff before logging out, it’ll give you a big jump start into the next session of gameplay. It’s unnecessary to add ways to buy your way through the phase. They are taking SoD slowly so that people can take their time without falling way too behind.

Leave the game shop out of this. It always leads down the same road, wow tokens. No thanks. Why not suggest a crafting item to make them at lvl 60 instead? A fishing/cooking recipe that takes like an hour to fish up per 1 item or something (Bind on Account items). Even then that is pushing it.

Turn all WB into xp gain buffs. Problem solved

Taking my last toon to 40 was incredibly painful and Idk if I can do it again. I have this druid and a Shaman on a dead server (Chaos Bolt) waiting to be leveled up.
