This could be a solution, but this still hinders us from question on a PvP server because people will just gank us to remove the buff. It needs to persist through death imo. Speaking of which I think I have a solution to lowbie ganking in SoD I will be posting later today or early tomorrow.
It’s not that it’s hard to do. It’s just that it’s annoying when compared to P1.
1-25 was great, not because of the speed, but because all through the journey we were given new abilities to play around with. In P2 they’ve locked almost all the runes behind being at max level. They have taken everything new about SoD and gated it behind the max level. I really hope that they’ve learned their lesson, and that in P3 we can go back to the feeling that we had in P1.
P2 was “Here’s the new iteration of WoW! Now go do the thing that you’ve always done 1000 times”
After reading this post and taking every word into careful consideration… i have to agree 100% that it is indeed a wall of words that he said. He will continue to work with the forums to post these words.
Now i would like to break it down with a live lecture about the nuance and intricacies of forum socializing. Maybe also dive into the parasocial aspects of posting long walls of text that mean absolutey NOTHING.
The only problem with leveling suggestions is making them cost real money.
The 50% XP buff should extend to 40.
Fodder should be account bound and have a chance to drop randomly or be given as an additional reward from waylaid supplies, or be another supply vendor purchase for gold.
Look what you made ChatGPT do. There’s no amount of digital showers that could wash off the stink off that competition.
Dear Vheshá,
I must respectfully disagree with your assertion regarding the inclusion of a leveling boost in Wrath of the Lich King Classic. It’s undeniable that the game is not only thriving but also setting a precedent for successful implementation of such features. Allow me to present a prime example: my guild, BigPVP, is dominating the battlegrounds week after week, leaving a trail of defeated Horde members in our wake. Our victories are as ironclad as our determination, and the numbers speak for themselves—our kill count keeps growing like iron forged in the fires of battle.
But let’s not forget our chief rivals, the Ironwolf Clan. Their leader, once an alpha, now finds himself reduced to a beta due to his unfortunate predicament of low testosterone levels. It seems the Ironwolf Clan’s bark is far worse than their bite, as they consistently fall prey to the might of BigPVP. Mayorwest, our fearless leader, has orchestrated our victories with the precision of a master blacksmith shaping iron into formidable weapons.
In summary, the success of Wrath of the Lich King Classic, coupled with our guild’s prowess on the battlefield, serves as irrefutable evidence that incorporating a leveling boost does not detract from the game’s integrity but rather enhances the overall experience for players. So let’s forge ahead and embrace the ironclad truth: convenience features like leveling boosts only serve to strengthen the bonds of camaraderie and enjoyment within the gaming community.
They should not only not implement what you’re suggesting, they should remove all leveling boosts that they’ve already put in.
Experiment not successful, they don’t belong in Classic.
The speed at which you get runes as literally nothing to do with the OP. OP wants to get to 40 quicker. Not to mention, by your own logic on the topic of the OP, by not focusing on getting runes during the leveling process, they put their time into leveling and come back to runes at max level. Which is, as you put it, by design.
Seems like it is exactly as it was intended.
It was successful though. Everyone I know has bought the boost and Blizzard earnings have been on an up tick. Smells and sounds like success to me. Now with daddy Microsoft running the show they are going to want a return on their investment and I want SoD/Classic+ to continue and not get chopped. So why not add some revenue incentives to it so it doesn’t get canned. Not sure why you say the experiment wasn’t successful. I mean I alone have bought 10+ level boost between BC-WoTLK and got to PvP and raid on numerous characters I wouldn’t otherwise. You probably even grouped with me without knowing. No one is playing this game to level anymore. It’s all figured out and just to put it bluntly not fun. Leveling isn’t what the game is about anymore, sorry it has left you behind, but you must get with modern times or be left behind.
“Concise and meaningful dialogue is for nerds”-boostedchad
Not only would your suggestion never happen… going off how long phase 1 was, you have ample amounts of time to reach 40, if you’re telling me you cant hit 40 in 3 months time+ because you have RL priorities, thats great for you. But my (and im sure most) peoples experience should not be diminished because your 3 jobs and 5 kids need to take precedence over all of our gaming time.
Your gaming experience isn’t diminished because of the boost. You can not buy it and let me support the game I play the way I like to support it and get something in return. Everything isn’t about you. Other people play the game they way they like to play it and I should be able to play the way I like to play it. People forcing anyone to play the game they way they play it is wild. I would gladly pay $5+ for a 50% buff that lasted 2 hours or for a couple of the student fodders. How does me improving my leveling experience hinder you again?
Dude I’m playing Classic WoW for a reason. This game was created for people who don’t align with modern MMO sensibilities. I don’t know how you got it twisted.
I know how he gets it twisted. And I know this is going to sound crazy here, but
THIS ISN’T CLASSIC.
None of this has anything to do with OP. OP’s idea was terrible.
I just trying to shed some light on why we have so many on the forums these days asking for an XP buff.
Not sure what you mean. This wasn’t the intention of what you quoted at all.
I leveled from 25-40 in less than half the time it took me to do so on Era weeks before the launch of SoD with not even a quarter of the deaths along the way.
You still have plenty of time, and endgame isn’t the end-all, be-all. Just play the bloody game.
why did you folks flag this thread?
am I missing something?
SOM made adjustments to the leveling experience. Seems like a good topic. I am guessing I missed the forest for the tree like usual.
No. Just no. Having the option to buy leveling cheapens the experience for those who don’t buy it even if they chose not to buy it.
There’s a psychological component to all of this that people take for granted.
Because no one who comes in suggesting paid micro-transactions in Classic Era or its Seasonal Servers are doing so in good faith.
The way you put it… lol
but I think they sell those level boost with subs and upgrades. That was my naive thought.
I see what the OP was doing now though. lol. Everything leads to GDKP at the moment
