Regrettably I have to use this, just for that decor. The Space room in the house is gonna look amazing with like 1 in each corner.
I’m sure players will have a very measured and normal reaction to the introduction of this new system.
A straight line is pretty boring. I get it’s a linear path with no choice nodes but c’mon.
Excited for this to take 5 weeks of boredom.
Please say this system is warbound unlike the dumb Voidstorm version.
I didn’t unlock the Voidforge at all.
I didn’t mess with the ring, belt or cloak last expansion until all of the timegating and acquisition was worked out and over.
Timegating the unlock to timegate the rest of the unlocks again. lol Looks like this one won’t be any different for me.
The only way you’d get me to interact with this is if you made Isle of Quel’danas a daily hub again. Which I doubt will happen. That Isle is completely empty of NPCs, even after we finished with the Well story.
There are multiple choices for some nodes as you work your way down. You’ll just select one for each row save for a couple.
Are these things really necessary when the balancing and tuning class specs that have been bad all season are still bad?
I feel this is putting more balancing issues into a game without addressing the balancing issues and just going to further cause nerfs to classes based on this system throwing things out of true scope proportion…
But okay here we go with more borrowed power.
Honestly I dont think anyone likes things like this. The dribs and drabs are getting really annoying. If it’s going to be borrowed power just do it like SL and get it over with.
I think it bears mentioning that this is with us all expansion, according to the page.
Presumably, this will be built on and evolved…But now I feel that the rest of the expansion will be balanced around this as opposed to anything else? I’m not a huge fan of things that are just flat increases of power like this.
Now I’m worried we’ll have cantrips and trinkets buffing these runes and the like. I dunno. We’ll see. Don’t really like these things even when they’re done well.
This is stupid. SO stupid. Literally just a forced borrowed power mechanic with static nodes. No fantasy. No choices. No fun.
When does this release?
This seems like another version of the cloak from Karesh.
Are there campaign requirements to unlock it?
Balance is desperately needed but a feature like this should be the same for everyone. Although it probably scales with versa and your role.
I meant to type “branching paths” but I also didn’t realize there were choice nodes and now I see them in the screenshot. Thanks for pointing it out.

Mini systems that last a season I’ll deal with. I have the option to skip them.
Entire expansion-long timegated bullcrap that is integrated into my characters should never ever happen again.
I hope so… I love to do more (hopefully tedious and time-consuming) “chores” to unlock a temporary, borrowed power. It makes it more “fun”.
