My PC in Michigan has the same issue as my laptop in the Philippines. So it is not a regional issue. It could be the game server you are playing is not being hit and the one I play on is being hit.
All the server, at least in the NA ones, are in the same building. The timezone is more for people perfer the server time being their own. There isnāt way to target just the one server.
Three. Sydney, Australia. Los Angeles, California. Chicago, Illinois.
I play on servers in each data center with no issues.
You need to work with Technical Support.
Ruffle is right. There are multiple datacenters is physically different locations. For WoW they are usually LA, Chicago, and Sydney Australia for the Americaās region. For other Blizzard games there are a lot more datacenter options such as Brazil, Singapore, Seoul, EU locationsā¦etc.
You are right that the time zone has nothing to do really with the server location exactly. It is just set up as a preference for players to find others in a similar time zone.
