20th Anniversary Event - You guys cant do anything right can you?

Simple answer. The reward is greater than the pursuit. The carrot is shinier than the stick.

Yeah, we’re not exactly going to the moon here. You didn’t need to go that hard to support the video game patch.

Then they are intentionally terrible at their job.

They will 100% buff acquisition after the fact. It’s the same cycle as always. The same cycle is always trash.

For some reason your post made me laugh. I am glad you covered both scenarios.

It’s part of playing the game. Some players enjoy having a broad range of available activities to do in this universe and they aren’t only doing one specific thing like raid logging.

Sure these events can take away from my battleground time, but if I want to look good in those BG’s then I sure will do the events! Who knows, it might be FUN!

Players who use the word “chores” are suffering from massive FOMO.

Let it go and enjoy the FUN Of Missing Out. (You don’t miss out if you’re having fun)

This was just changed yesterday apparently. 60 for the 1st set, 40 for the second, and 20 for each set after that for a total of 320 for all 13 classes.

Yeah, there’s 0 reason cool cosmetic anniversary stuff should take this long to get.
I mean, just make us do the raid on each class to get them. That would be better than grinding a stupid currency.

It’s not even out yet.

I’m reading a book that just came out about Blizzard. It’s really interesting and makes you appreciate how much of their success was just a bunch of working guys sacrificing their private lives to make good video games.

But it also points out that Blizzard succeeded wildly by making games that are fun for both skilled hardcore gamers and ordinary people who are not that skilled. That was one of the keys to their success. And at no point were the leaders of the company saying “Hey, make this content really long and repetitive so our numbers look better.” They also never seemed to say “Make that less fun for the ordinary players.”

The old Blizzard had plenty of problems. Bro culture that was way out of control, struggling to get projects launched anywhere near on time, and so on. But what they didn’t lose sight of is that their job was to make their games the most fun games available for as many people as possible. All success followed from that.

So what’s going on now? Why is stretching out content a priority? Who in leadership is pushing engagement numbers at the cost of player enjoyment? Because whomever that is needs to go.

you guys are doing god’s work for me.

I remembered before TWW came out, currency was dropping like water off mushrooms and bosses were getting killed fast, it was doom on the forums I almost didn’t play but when I logged a week after the pre patch, all the issues were fixed, I was able to buy all the mounts and pets in one night across all alts.

thank you guys! keep at your feedback but keep it clean and nice!

Very true. It’s a 20 year celebration… How hard would it be to just give one set out purely for logging in

I need to do things in pixelville to get more pixels? This is bull!!!

-Every whiner here.

It’s okay. They’ll probably use their scapegoat method and either put the sets in the trade post in the future or you can buy it from the in-game store for $30. Then, turn around and say “See, we listen”

Other people are saying 6 days for the first set, every other set is a third the price as well not all activities are on the PTR

It’s more about appreciation for the customer. I don’t give a crap about 10 currencies I can only earn 3 a day for

Which one says thank you more:
-after 20 years have a mog on the house, or:
-grind dailies for 3 weeks peon, fill my metrics

I think them running a game that clearly jumped the shark a while ago is its own form of appreciation lol.

You gunna pay the artist that redid all those mogs?

Or are you gunna let your like, total of 5 dollars of time pay for it?

What kind of stupid argument is that? My sub pays them regardless

Oh no freakin way. If that’s the case … I need to go test this on the ptr. I’d actually consider being done with this game. I went through the last two special events and they fixed the currency drip feeds BUT third time and they do it again? You fix this before launch.

These bean counters need to be fired.

I want to know the limit of currency that can be acquired for say 3 characters on one account per day / week.
