20th Anniversary Event - You guys cant do anything right can you?

Eh… I don’t feel abused. :person_shrugging:

I also don’t see how this is an issue at all…

The frustrating part for me is knowing after I work my butt off earning thjngs the hard way, it’ll be made ten times easier to do in an overnight hotfix.

They did the same thing to me on Korthia.

In the scheme of things… 3 weeks is nothing.

and no catchup mechanic if you aren’t playing from the start is bad. There being basically no catchup mechanics in this game feels bad.

Should be half that time, 3 weeks is pushing it.

The event goes for 3 months.

What do you expect from WoW, a game of grind? No grind? Just hand out Tier sets without doing anything? You must be in a wrong game.

20th Anniversary event would be for several months. Without time gating, you could get everything in a day or two. After that, nobody would be on that zone anymore? Hey, get some sunlight.

WoW has survived for 20 years. They must be doing right. I know this is not a game for Tourists.

A celebration is meant to be fun not a chore and time gating 20yr old content is ridiculous.

Sounds good to me its 20yr old content being reused for a celebration and I’ve been to a few celebrations and have never seen one that time gates the fun or tells when you’re allowed to have said “fun”.

Too many of you need to touch some grass.

If the event was good enough on its own it wouldn’t need to have been strung out for us to “enjoy”.

You can’t blame people for seeing the obvious manipulation at play here.

blizzard apologists can go stick it

On the contrary, they know exactly what they are doing.

I don’t mind working for something I want to achieve in a game, but Blizzard always finds a way to make it as nauseating as humanly possible.

It takes 3 weeks of dailies and weeklies to get 1 set for a time limited event with 13 sets.

Explain how that’s good content.

I’m not reading all of that. But I’m happy for you, or sorry that it happened. Whichever applies.

I mean, its quite fitting that a WoW anniversary is another long gated grind.

I still think TWW is one of the best expansions, barring its shortcomings, but ive never been a fan of excessive gating.

Might want to celebrate with your playerbase another way. This feels more like Blizz is using it to keep us subbed, rather than rewarding us for sticking with a game for 20 years.

Somebody making design choices at Blizz is still out of touch.

The FIRST set costs 60 but they added in a feature that after the first the next is discounted making the second cost 40 then after that the third and then some cost 20. The currency can also be transferred to alts but yeah hoping they don’t make it truly grindy like making alts that do the content earn less than the first one each week as I’m kinda sick of that by this point. Is the Blackrock depths stuff at least optional as I recall back in warlords the molten core raid was a bit crazy and had annoying lag from people trying to cram 40 people into the raid…toughed it out though thankfully and got the corehound mount back then but really hoping the blackrock depths raid isn’t a lag fest as yeah no thanks Dornogal is already bad with lag I don’t need a laggy fomo raid too

This seriously feels like the point a lot of people will get burnt out. Grinding the same handful of dailies over and over again for 3 months trying to collect transmog sets. The event hasn’t even started yet and I already feel like unsub’ing.

Just tie the sets to an achievement for doing the Anniversary content. Complete all the quests and the raid and you unlock all the transmog sets. Leave the tokens for buying other stuff. That way people can pick and choose what they want to grind for.

Yes this isn’t fortnite. It’s fine.
