Thanks for the useful feedback. I’ll check out the UI reset. I’ve deleted my cache and moved WTF folder to desktop. After seeing Wizkx’s stream last night I see how this issue isn’t just for me. I’ve even seen Supatease, Bualock and other twitch streamers with the same issue. My irl friend and several btag friends too.

If you’re getting LUA errors or w/e there’s a link of code you can put in that just basically makes it shut up.
The errors still occur but you can turn off the spam.
/console scriptErrors 0
So it sounds like something isn’t playing nice with PvP for some reason. That may be difficult to narrow down, but Ui resets and cache folder deletions can often help with errors and disconnects, as well.

This too. Also seething shore where attacks appear to come from the ship but the players have already landed and you have to reload to fix.
Not just lua errors but its an error where your spells are inactive until you reload. The two options it gives you are ignore or disable but if you just /reload the addons start working just fine without having to hit disable. This is why many top arena players /reload before every game. Sorry if I didnt add this context before and if things aren’t clear for those who don’t watch PvPers nor PvP. And for those who don’t more power to you. I’m not talking down to you guys but you won’t truly understand unless you’ve PvP’d or watch a streamer who has dealt with this. Its very common. I don’t want to be on these forums. I don’t like it here but this has to be stated.
Oh that I get that with some pve addons.
I have absolutely no idea how to fix that but I’m sure there’s a command somewhere to turn that off. Let me dig around.

And also i’m not trolling when I say nice m+ scores and such. I don’t do much pve and I’m genuine when I say that. I truly have tried running dungeons and normal/heroic raids with no issue. You can always go to a site called checkpvp to see people’s alts that PvP and Winmax is my druid I’ve never experienced an issue with addons in PvE.

cute rant, but way to totally miss the point.
it doesn’t matter if you do nothing but play the AH.
addons can cause issues.
this is something YOU need to rectify.
did you also stand on one foot while rubbing your belly and patting your head?
If you’re not willing to do an actual UI reset, why are you even complaining?

The issue isn’t UI based. Basically some addons, even with a fresh install, can pop up a box that is like “you’re experiencing too many errors” or “This addon has blocked this function” or something.
The addon I suggested says it just sticks that error in the chat instead of disabling buttons so hopefully that is the case and it helps the OP.

And yeah, as someone who played retail PvP fairly recently, up to Season 2 in DF, PvP addons were always on the fritz.
Especially Gladius.
It’s part of the reason I stopped, they need to disable addons or something. The addon creep has gotten too far, imho.
I’ve shoved off into PvP games where everyone is on equal footing, no addons really.
Hm. Yeah, whenever I encountered problems with add-ons, was usually a matter of finding out which one caused the problem and disabling it, the last patch broke a few things on the Tuesday it released and the skirmishes were very messy because of it, but thankfully were just skirmishes for the weekly.
Though, I’m not sure if 2.1k is the threshold of being a PvPer, I pushed 2.1k last season in RSS for the shadowflame illusion just fine without any PvP addons whatsoever. I used Gladius a million years ago on my warlock but haven’t bothered using any of the Arena addons recently.
A UI reset doesn’t fix addons. What it will fix is errors within the game itself caused by such things when addons go wonky. It can fix little things that even tweaking addons or updating them won’t fix.
It’s always a good idea to delete the cache folder, do a UI reset and also futz with the addons.
