Character Name: Iago Kaligari, M.D.
Race & Class: Undead Field Apothecary
Short description of your character’s personality and backstory: Iago’s life as the only child of a homeless Stratholme prostitute would’ve likely been short and scared had he not been born with a genius intellect. As a child his fascination and prodigious skill with alchemy and engineering landed him a fairly lucrative apprenticeship that rescued him from begging in the streets.
As he rapidly outgrew teachers he became annoyed with his colleagues objections to his often dangerous and amoral experiments. He’d seen first hand that their concerns about justice and sanctity of life were a thin facade that applied only where convenient. For a time however he kept his experiments tame for the sake of social expediency.
This changed when he discovered the Cult of the Damned which he eagerly joined despite having zero interest in their message or goals. He used the Cult’s resources to his own end, incidentally developing Scourgetech and eventually becoming an assistant to Dr.Krastinov in Scholomance. With the rise of the Forsaken however Iago saw the writing on the wall. He delibrately infected himself, became undead and slipped into their burgeoning nation.
Quickly associating himself with RAS, he became an aid de camp to the Dark Apothecary Dr.Carnifice Bile, eventually replacing said doctor after his mysterious disappearance. Later deployed in Pandaria during the war Iago became fascinated with the Pandaren martial arts. It was precise and clinical, unlike the messy Warrior or Rogue ‘arts’ he’d debased himself with in the past. He quickly ingratiated himself to the Pandaren and was trained in their arts atop Kun Lai summit. His thorough knowledge of anatomy giving him a critical edge over his compatriots.
Cold, calculating and consummately cynical Iago Kaligari is a man for whom the end always justify the means. He fully intends to discern the nature of the universe and all who dwell within it, and will do anything to facilitate that goal. Woe betide anything he finds ‘medically fascinating’.
Does your characters have IC ties to any other ED character (describe)? Outside a former working partnership with Benedikt due to their mutual and intimate familiarity with Dr.Bile he’s none at time of writing.

Having learned he did not have to report the casualties of mercenaries to his superior he decided to give them highly potent intoxicants before an encounter with an anomaly.
The anomaly in question was a psychic and predatory giant squid and he was curious how it’s powers might effect the irresponsibly drunk. Results were inclusive. Further research required.
