20 years in this game, banned for life

Just letting you guys know, Blizzard is being really aggressive with banning players. Got banned today (yes, I got 2 warnings for language, BUT, it was in response to players being really abusive to me – I reported, heard nothing back, of course).

In all fairness, this was a good thing. I was wasting too much time and $$$ on this 20 year old game with so many bugs and other issues, it really was an eye opener for me to get banned.

I’m actually ok with this. I have time now to spend with my wife and dogs and I actually saved money.

Thanks for your aggressive banning practices, Blizzard. Keep it up, maybe other players will realize there’s more to live than WOW.

Does not matter if someone was being abusive to you, no exuse for replying in kind. Worse if you did so and reported them there is a good chance that they would look right before and after that.

Glad they are getting more aggressive, people have become too toxic

The responsibility is on you to not violate the rules. If you both do, you both get actioned.

They will not tell you when they take action against other accounts.

This is the most heavily moderated section of the forums. I’d suggest not using the kinds of toxic and abusive language that got you in trouble before.

I’m already banned, what do I care? Besides, I said nothing toxic. Just facts.

Oh they are in the process of deleting my account so these will self destruct in 3…2…1 :smiley:

You can appeal that action, though I suspect you are going to be at a disadvantageous position based on your language useage thus far.

Uh, Blizz doesn’t delete accounts, even when they’re actioned or closed permanently.

It’s not difficult to see how you got yourself into this situation unfortunately.

You’ll have to forgive me if i do not believe you assuming you are Semper Fi.

That being said, i have been around the devil dogs pretty much all my life and have family that are former jar heads that do not throw tantrums when punished for their actions.

This was only a ban because of the number of previous violations of policy.

You are welcome to appeal this if you like, although I did look through the chat and this is a valid account action. Profanity has never been allowed in our games. If reported, we will indeed action it.

I see you’ve requested account deletion, and that’s fine. You do need to be very aware, however, that’s the entirety of the account, all licenses - and once it processes, it’s permanent.
