This is what we need more people to do and the only real way to cut down on q times. This may be kind of drastic, but they should add a 1 button rotation to healing like theyre doing for dps next patch. Manually playing should be optimal but it would be a good intro for all the dps who have never healed. It should basically be a bot where the player only has control over their cc, positioning, targeting (maybe even this tbh), pvp trinket management and the like
I pretty much gave up this season because I was tired of the wait time, cant play wow if you have ADHDā¦
Those games donāt separate between DPS and healer and their whole PvP design is not based around roles as all players have the same role.
I am sure the devs would be happy to hear a good solution of how to fix the queue times without bypassing the whole idea of role based PvP and with at least a tiny bit of balancing (so no 2 dps vs 2 dps setups!).
That would destroy the remaining PvP community completely. Some people think the solo content killed 2s/3s and while its true that those brackets lost quite some players to RSS and BGB, its illusory to think that those player would queue the old brackets (again) in case they would remove the solo content. In fact, most people would stop playing without solo queue!
Youāre part of the problem. You play dps and continue to add to the long line of dps players waiting for healers to get into a lobby. If you wanted to, you could easily help fix the problem. Play a healer.
Well said, completely true
Game is very fun right now, one of the most balanced patches in the history of the game. So many different specs in the S tier currently. (Not perfect, i think warr and mage need adjustments but I think itās pretty close to balanced).
If they made the pool of participants 1 large pool instead of drawing from 2 pools, it might alleviate the problem some what.
Funny enough, ESO doesnāt have a no healer problem, in fact they have a surplus of them
wait till you get above 2100 mmr and sit for 90 minutes
Its the 6 rounds man, I get exhausted and frustrated just thinking about it.
Balanced or not, a 1 round match I would probably play.
Balance has always been problematic, people will always be rerollers, dps donāt want games that last forever (either do healers) so something like dampening is needed, attitudes will just fester the longer the matches are.
Shuffle needs to have less rounds.
I played archeage for about 7 years and at server launch weād have about 2500 players total and it would gradually fall as the server progressed. Even deep into a seasonal server where everyone had quit I didnāt wait even half as long for an arena to pop as I do for shuffle at starter mmr.
I made a brand new character level it up sent boxes and sat in q for 18m before logging off, no way thatās working correctly
The numbers indicate a lot of people playing too and I know the mode sucks for healers but Iāve actually wondered for a long time if the system used to proc games is broken somehow.
The number of people playing compared with the q times doesnāt make sense even with a 1 healer per 2 dps ratio
Yeah I think it doesnāt try to actually put you in a match at starting mmr, but tries to find other players that are doing placements, and thatās why it takes forever
You can if you arenāt too picky about what you end up doing.
Your a druid. Roll healer. There you go⦠now instead of complaining your helping to fix the problem. Your welcome
^This. I play strictly because of solo queue. Thereās no having to waste time forming a group, getting players that arenāt trash, or thatāll leave after your first loss, or not accept you because youāre not playing fotm. Solo Shuffle and Blitz are the only reason pvp is still alive at the moment, havenāt done 2s, 3s, or RBGs since they were introduced to the game.
What are you talking about? Rogues, Warlocks, Hunters, Dks, Mages, and Warriors canāt heal. 1/2 the classes in the game donāt have a choice.
You absolutely can??? Thereās a billion things to do in Queue (or play with friends where Qs are instant) or you can just alt tab and play hearthstone or something in btwn.
- Make solo shuffle 4v4 - 3 DPS + 1 Healer that would feed the DPS through faster.
- Queue 3 DPS v 3 DPS - Best DPS wins.
- Make a heal-o-bot healer (they already have these in CompStomp) that would take excess DPS and run them through a SS. You could even force each side to have the same class healer and same logic which would actually level the playing field for the DPS.
Edit - Iāve played 3 Solo Shuffles matches this season and have an MMR of 1845?
Really easy fix is to funnel dps away from the mode. Canāt imagine incetivizing healing more than it already is being incentivized without basically redesigining the roles at this point
As unbalanced as it would beāand I know we donāt want another modeābut an all-dps shuffle mode for 2s would be really popular. Doesnāt even need to be rated but adding an mmr/bracket would only help.
That would decrease the queue time by a bit, but I donāt think people would like it. Especially small arenas would be weird and imagine you get teams like rdruid + rogue + mage + hunter. How would anybody survive the opener, as 2 of the DPS usually get a lot of CDs. Could you survive 3 of them?
We had something similar in the beginning with tank queues. People hated it. It was a pure fiesta with everybody running in, popping every cd and the team with the most one shot burst won. It was a nightmare especially for caster, where nothing but dmg and dmg immunities mattered. CC was meaningless.
Rets would love that, the others not as much!
The best idea of your three. I could imagine such a system, but people should be able to mark if they want that or not.
So? MMR was not reseted at the season beginning and we have mmr inflation.
Fine for me to be honest. The question is, if it would significantly decrease the queue times? Would really that many player enjoy it in the long term?
the obj is a FOMO 1800 set⦠no point in quing with friends, plus u cant find a consistant team of people who logā¦ever.
